Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Forget the debt? You'd have a shock when you took over for £1 and had to start servicing that debt you'd ignored.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Let who speak? I'd love to hear some details but seeing as you're the only person who claims to know anything and you refuse to say and the people actually involved won't even admit their own involvement we have to go on what little information we have.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Has Hoffman typed x 30 on his calculator? Might have a chance if he has. Do you reckon who ever posted that will financially guarantee those sales? £250K for each promotion. So get to the PL and the total is £1.25m

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I would say that for that £500K they are expecting the club debt free. Then with the add ons even if, by some miracle we got to the Prem, the total payment would only be £1.25m

Blaze go in to a lot of schools and run starter sessions which obviously aren't on ice. Could have picked it up from there.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Pretty sure someone said it was £8m last time it was discussed.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

£500K up front? He must know there is no way they are going to accept an offer like that. Love how there was rumours about Hoff and the CT shut it down saying they'd spoken to him and it was all rubbish.

    Anyone heard any rumours recently

SISU would certainly sell to Hoffman, he was one of the people I was told was approached when they tried to offload the club about 18 months ago. The issue will be his valuation against theirs.

    Academy Article

He seems a no nonsense kind of chap judging by what he posts on twitter.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

If you go back a few years you'll find plenty of people saying the same thing as a reason for people to give up their shares and pass control to SISU. People were convinced things couldn't get worse.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

So really not anything new in the CT article. Until we know what the offer consists of its impossible to judge. Isn't this a bit misleading? The sale price is one thing but how much did they pay to settle existing debt? Would expect any new takeover to follow the same form.

    General Election

Yep, that would really help having a leadership contest with 2 months to go before a general election.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

You said you don't know any of the details so how can you state as fact it would be better. For all we know they've looked at your beloved Wasps and decided that's a good way forward and will move us 90 miles away. Its ridiculous to expect people to blindly support something when we've been...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Hang on, if you have no idea what the offer was why were you saying everyone should be backing it and phoning up SISU demanding they accept?

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Obviously the club will be sold for the proverbial £1, they key is what else is offered. We 'owe' SISU a fortune and they will know they are never getting that back and has most likely already been written down in their accounts but they won't walk for nothing. I would guess we're looking at...

Senators for me. The time difference is a killer for watching games, especially at this time of the year with multiple overtimes. Team GB are playing in the World Champs Div 1B next week, should have a good shot at winning.

    General Election

This is an interesting point. During the campaigning for the last general election there was a big study conducted, think it was by Manchester University. Basically they polled people on various key policies and then asked them if an election was held today who would you vote for. The...

    Torch's Counselling Thread

I don't really understand the stem cell thing but there was a thing on the news the other day that was very impressive. Chap had been paralysed from the neck down last March, couldn't even breath without assistance. Within weeks he could move his arms and hands and 3 months he was able to do...
