Lats is better at defending. Thomas has other qualities annd is only young and you do need two CBs. Woolf is just poor all round. Kitching is a liability. Austin’s record on CBs is shocking tbh.

Because Thomas is vital for our long throws. He’s the best of a bad bunch tbh. My real issue is with Kitching who is just a very poor defender.

There’s a reason we’re set up to win the ball high and out score the opposition and not soak up pressure.

Our biggest problem by far is our CBs constantly lose their man and make rash decisions and can’t defend their box but they’re “hard men” so get a complete pass from fans. Kitchings best attribute is his passing which as you say isn’t as good as he thinks and Thomas’ is his threat from set...

Our defensive record will improve when the midfield improves. The back line will improve when we sign a competent CB.

Eccles ability is beyond his confidence. He can play some great passes but will choose the easy option like he doesn’t believe in himself sometimes. If he could he’d be an excellent midfielder.
