I've given up on predicting the City too, so Newcastle 1-1 Watford.

    Energy Suppliers.

Had someone called 'Octopus Energy' come and knock my door the other day. Have never even heard of them. I am guessing you have written to Fisher and they will make an announcement in 3 weeks.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

This whole thing is farcical now. What on earth is May playing at? She keeps trying to push for a deal that no-one wants. A deal already defeated in the house. It's really bash your head against a brick wall time. What is wrong with just suspending Article 50 to try and ensure the right deal...

Emiliano Sala (Cardiff Player) on board missing plane

It's very sad news, but as usual you get the OTT almost faux outpouring of grief. I saw this morning a Cardiff fan's message on a sheet laid at a memorial 'Forever in our hearts'. Nice thing to say of course, but they only signed him on Saturday and he hadn't even played for them yet. Almost...

    Ancestry DNA

Probably traced his family tree previously. That's what my family did. Traced back to 1066 on one side and the 1600's on the other. Guessing olderskyblue has done the same. One side on my family is pretty much all Nottinghamshire and the other, the Cotswolds, Warwickshire and Wiltshire.

Has a second leg of a cup game ever been more pointless?

Ha. So you have too come on a thread and then post on that thread that you don't care. Won't expect anymore replied from you on this matter then. ;)

Not sure. Guess we will only find out for sure tomorrow as to what the thinking is when Pep picks his side.

Has a second leg of a cup game ever been more pointless?

Yeah, a guesstimate for sure, but why not then play U21'S players tonight? 9 of their starting 11 are 18 and under. Surely that points to the resting of those who are 19-21 and the remaining 18 year olds.

Has a second leg of a cup game ever been more pointless?

It is different because Man City clearly wanted to play kids tomorrow. In order to do so they have had to pick a shed load of 16 and 17 year olds tonight. 5 of tonight's team are 16 or 17, so 16 year olds against what is surely a strongish, first teamer Sunderland side.

That 22/1 bet still looking good.

That kind of points to kids in tomorrow doesn't it? Seems they have picked from their U18's and lower tonight and then the U21 players will be selected tomorrow night.

But this is the cup and clubs do rest players for cup competitions if they deem them to be of less importance than the league. Bit different to a U21 game on a Friday and a league game on a Saturday. Man City from the first leg have earned the right to rest players for the second.

The 'not so obvious' hot babes thread!

Tim Minchin, Louise's brother.* * They are not related, but must be, because no-one had ever heard of the surname before these two appeared on the scene.

Really stupid of the FA (or whichever body it is) to make Man City play both tonight and tomorrow. Crazy. I know it is an U21 team supposedly in the EFL Trophy, but that rules out any of that side bring able to be picked for the Carabou Cup game.

22/1 for a Burton win and both teams to score in the return leg tomorrow. Very good odds that I would say.
