Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

The obvious solution would be to make schools the primary focus. Have the clubs work with local schools to make sure they have the best possible level of coaching and decent facilities. Then at a certain age, say 14 or 16, the best players are enrolled in the local clubs academy. Make it a...

No need for me to explain it. Look at things like the department of health's study into mental health and the arts, or the use of art in psychotherapy or may similar types of studies and treatments. Just because something contains the word art doesn't mean its someone hanging a picture on the...

    General Election

Someone in the Conservative PR team is getting fired after today. A member of the public got to speak to May, that didn't exactly go well. But it went a lot better than the Facebook live she did with ITV. The rate they're going at they'll probably release this as their new campaign poster by...

    General Election

Thats the same poll that was posted before. its not 68% scything they agree we should leave, want to leave or would vote leave if there was another election. Its 68% saying the government has a duty to apply the result of the vote. A very different thing, surprised its not much higher to be honest.

    General Election

Is that the 4 page thing? I started reading that and thought it was a parody at first and was going to be another party or someone campaigning against them. Doesn't mention a single policy and says strong and stable a ridiculous number of times. Yes it does, it also mentions local and national...

That would be PFI first introduced by the Conservatives under Major. The likes of the unions and Corbyn were the ones campaigning against PFI. Yes its true to say the Blairites loved PFI but when the Conservatives got back in they did the same. 61 PFI initiatives in Osbourne's first year as...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Can't see SISU going for that. The value isn't in them keeping hold of it and renting it back to us. The value is in us moving out, which would meet the pitch provision requirement allowing SISU to sell the land for housing. Besides which does anyone want a takeover that sees SISU still...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I wouldn't be bothered about losing Ryton if a decent replacement was in place. Lets face it Ryton is only a couple of pitches and the lodge. Personally I'd go in with Warwick Uni. They have some decent facilities already and are expanding. We could share pitches and add a new lodge. Could also...

Last game at White Hart Lane

Yes it was but there wasn't any support for it from the council and as it would have involved changes to the roads and compulsory purchase of some houses that made it a non starter. Believe there was a few schemes considered but the only one I know any level of detail of was after we'd...

Exactly, when Cameron promised there wouldn't be a top down reorganisation that's exactly what happened. Budgets for each department were slashed and the managers had to make the decisions on what to cut. They aren't going to cut their own jobs or pay.

Looking at that wouldn't it be possible to finish 3 sides of the ground and move in while they finish the 4th rather than play at Wembley?

Never seen such a change in a player from when he came in to what he was like shortly afterwards. This is the highlight of his time here.

See Hunt has gone in to hiding and sent Rudd out to face the public. She's claiming its nothing to do with the government conveniently ignoring that there was no money to upgrade these systems due to huge budget cuts.

    General Election

I don't think its that simple. There was similar polling last time for Milliband so the blame can't all be heaped on Corbyn. Besides, as much as May would like it, we're not a dictatorship and even if Corbyn was PM he couldn't do whatever he felt like. To vote for the Tories rather than Labour...

    General Election

Strange article, its not really about brexit but how the world economy is performing. That's all well and good but doesn't follow that it will be good for us. Just look at wages in the UK, only Greece is comparable in Europe yet we're told our economy is strong and theirs is in the toilet.
