    General Election

Immediately after the referendum the pound went from $1.49 to $1.29 and bottomed out at $1.22. Following the election the pound went from $1.29 to $1.27. It's currently $1.28. The post election drop was more to do with the uncertainly of a hung parliament than anything to do with Corbyn.

    CRICKET - Champions Trophy

211 all out, can't see that being good enough. Hopefully Pakistan come out and try and knock it off quickly and give some cheap wickets away.

    General Election

I was remain by default, better the devil you know, but was certainly open to being persuaded leave was the best option. The problem with the whole campaign, and its been the same since, is lack of any detail. Phrases like 'brexit means brexit', 'hard brexit', 'soft brexit' are thrown around...

    London fire

Absolutely horrific, can't begin to imagine what it would be like. Have a mate who lives in a similar block near there. Has been on at the council for years about the fire risk but has never been able to get a proper response out of them. There's also a letter on twitter with the council...

    General Election

The EU repeatedly said they wouldn't hold talks prior to article 50 being invoked so why do you think they would start agreeing thing prior to that? The whole point of having negotiations is to agree things like this. The fact that we've wasted the first few weeks with an unneeded election that...

Interested in a Peterborough player - Michael Smith

Bit odd to have a clubs owner tweeting out details of everything that's going on. We'd all like more communication from SISU but that seems to be taking it a bit far!

    Things That Bore You ?

Couldn't believe it the first time the ex-wife dragged me in there. People chucking clothes on the floor after they'd looked at them!

    Rose to Motherwell

Have any of our backroom staff ended up at Motherwell? Seems an odd place for two of our players to move to.

    General Election

Yes, in the old system the number of places funded was directly linked to the number of new employees required every year and it was, according to UCAS, the most popular course to apply for. Since the bursaries have been removed and fees introduced applications have already fallen by over 20%.

    General Election

So virtually wiped out applications from overseas and at the same time you have record numbers leaving and a drop in people going into the profession thanks to increased fees and the removal of bursaries. The only people benefiting here, surprise surprise, are the private agencies that cover the...

    CRICKET - Champions Trophy

Well we should definitely make the final and with home advantage we should be able to win this. Forecast seems OK without being great but as things stand the remaining 3 games should be completed.

Who will be Tory leader at the next General Election?

Boris on form again: “I am delighted to see that we Tories have just won Clwyd South — the seat where I was first defeated in the great Blair landslide of 1997.” Slight problem in that Susan Elan Jones won for Labour with a majority of 4,356

    Dup coalition

They had 330 seats before and May felt the need to hold an election to get a better majority in order to get everything through.

    Dup coalition

And of course if Labour had of approached the DUP or Sinn Fein to persuade them to take their seats and join a coalition you'd have had no issue with it.
