St Johnstone's PT In or Out?

I heard that there's some kind of ruling that the team you put out can only have a small number of changes from the league game that precedes it, so we really have no choice but to go for it thankfully, as you'd want that core team to get in the habit of winning. I'd kill for any kind of...

    Quiet?

Agreed with Otis. We're obviously a work in progress, but the fact that he made a change at half-time after spotting our deficiencies in the first half that eventually led to a win is a very promising sign in the new manager.

Ball & McGoldrick were brilliant today...

The worry from our side is that good performances could alert other teams who could swoop and nab him in January quite easily if his Forest situation is as reported.

    Linnell

A player can come on and be man of the match, of course they can. Particularly if nothing of consequence happens in the first half like today. Otherwise McGoldrick can't be man of the match as he didn't play the entire match either. If there was an award of man of 88 minutes - maybe!!!!!

    Linnell

Yes he was!! Note I used two exclamation points which makes my retort one better.

    Today was a Reality Check

psgm1 seems to whinge more than average, which is really saying a lot on this site.

Ball & McGoldrick were brilliant today...

I didn't see anything in Ball at all in his first few games but since his goal he's started coming good. I can see him starting more games at this rate. Nail on head stuff here:

    Linnell

He worked extremely hard on the right side and was one of the few players who looked capable of retaining possession at times.

    Holding Grudges

If you honestly think he was shit then I don't think yours is a mind that can be changed.

    Linnell

    He was right about Baker.

    sort problems

Just to note, to avoid picking a captain who isn't always in the team you're advocating a player currently out injured.

    clive platt

I thought Platt was an honest player who worked hard, but I find it tough to get too nostalgic over a striker who helped us score the next to no goals that saw us entrenched in the relegation spots all season.

More overblown nonsense, at least you keep up a good ratio.

    The Enemy on soccer am

De La Soul played there not too long back too. If it's good enough for them and all that.

    John Fleck

If his previous reputation is any indication, he should really be too good for this division. Hopefully dragging us up along with him.

    Westlife are undisputably brilliant.

    This strange feeling

Two home wins on the trot now would be like a magical wonderland. If the game is even worse than yesterday's apparently was I don't care, I just want to see a Coventry league win in person for the first time in what feels like years.

    The Enemy on soccer am

There tend to be reasons with the Enemy, Keys and Gaunt beyond just 'semi-famous Cov fan'. You don't hear people slagging off the Coronation Street serial killer, after all.

    some praise

It's because 90% of threads created in the wake of a defeat are by Glen, who disappears all other times.
