    Andy Murray

I hope he wins. I wouldn't call him particularly dour or miserable, it seems that he's very good at a sport without being particularly comfortable with the attention that comes with. The anti-England stuff that wasn't misreported was at most the kind of light-hearted jab that anyone who's ever...

F1. I just dont get it.

Are footballers just rich wankers who outgrew their subbuteo?

    All Jimmy Hill's work undone....

This is true. Drama demands believability. Ah, thou mishandling football club owners. Shall we compare thee to a terminal disease? Perchance a war crime? Thou art more EVIL and more DEVILISH

So he's actually signed for the reserves of a good team? We've 'missed out' on the Indian Ronnie Ekelund.

I know people have (rightly) mocked the whole bang bang stuff, but it definitely applies for this week at least.

    Andre Villas-Boas First Management Casualty

I don't know about being the next Mourinho, but his work at Porto suggests a lot better than the non-starting Chelsea spell at least. They fired a World Cup-winning coach after a very short amount of time too which suggests more about Abramovich having no patience, which is odd when Villas-Boas...

    Andre Villas-Boas First Management Casualty

Of course 'Lampsy' is good for a quote praising his new boss and pal by criticising the previous regime which isn't as great as it is now under the man who will hopefully keep picking him please please please. It's standard for a regime change. Chelsea would have done their homework on his...

    Andre Villas-Boas First Management Casualty

He was an excellent coach at Porto who won in Europe and is already vastly more successful than football's biggest charlatan in Redknapp, so I wouldn't say Tottenham's anywhere near being out of his depth. Chelsea also fired a World Cup winning coach in a snap decision so they're not exactly an...

Get Mifsud back... scores 4 tonight in the Champions League qualifying...

Still remember that goal at Blackburn where he basically powered through their defence like Jonah Lomu in his pomp. Remarkable.

Hey, anyone been on the Rangers site today? Only, there's this article etc

Deal agreed with rangers for John Fleck

Bear in mind that what a Rangers fan might think is a slightly poor player should translate pretty well to Coventry in the third tier.

Get Mifsud back... scores 4 tonight in the Champions League qualifying...

Memories of Mifsud tend to be rose-tinted thanks to that short but very sweet goalscoring run he had. Other sides of that (and sometimes during) he came across as a tiny sprinter who'd somehow found his way into a football team, and he seems like he messes around with contracts and stuff. Thanks...

Deal agreed with rangers for John Fleck

The Rangers site (which is a mess incidentally, webmasters always the first to go) claiming it's as good as done which suits me. I'd still like to see a cheesy shot of him holding a shirt/scarf/ball as real proof before I 100% believe it.

Deal agreed with rangers for John Fleck

I'm always sceptical about how fans of clubs regard players about to leave (we've had it here a load), but especially with Rangers' current predicament a player leaving could be greeted with a little extra dose of bitterness.
