The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

There's no guarantee we can fall back to WTO. We are a WTO signatory via our EU membership. It will need the agreement of the EU for the rights to be transferred to the UK without amendment. Even then we'd need to fight for our share of the current WTO quotas, what incentive is there for other...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Indeed, there's also an issue that I read about in a Canadian paper. Canada are happy to talk to the UK about a trade deal however they won't commence talks until after we have left the EU as trade deals with the EU prohibit negotiations with an individual EU member. Of course the same will...

Which of the grey areas on this map where the EU don't have a trade deal do you think are a rich vein to tap?

Positive News for the Academy - Wasps pull out of Higgs

I assume Nick is a supporter because he goes to games and talks about the club on here rather than just posting whenever anybody criticises Wasps.

That's what we were told about the Brexit negotiations. They need us more than we need them so we'll be in the driving seat. Doesn't really seem to be playing out like that though. If only it were that simple. Think it through. Aviation is one of hundreds of areas where we will need a new deal...

Bit concerning if a member of the EU is concerned about no deal being in place to the extent they are putting their own deal forward. If that's happening with aviation, which is one of the most high profile, should we be worried about all the other agencies we have to replace?

Positive News for the Academy - Wasps pull out of Higgs

I'm pretty sure if our next three home games were Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool and we let them have as many tickets as they wanted they'd all be sell outs.

Correct and I think that's a reasonable stance as if any of those can't be agreed the process fails. IMO we agreed funding until 2020, if we were going to have a referendum and potentially leave then the point at which the budget was being prepared was the time to bring that up. Once we had...

Losing our last 5 wickets for 50 runs wasn't great. Another 50-100 and we'd be in a very strong position. Couple of quick wickets tomorrow and we're still in a good position, if they get a first innings lead of more than about 50 then I think we could have problems.

I'm not saying we should pay some plucked out of thin air figure. You're not going to get an exact figure now because some items in the calculation will rely on things that haven't even happened yet! I'm saying that reading the EU's position paper there is nothing in there that seems...
