Match Thread Coventry City vs Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 10th Feb

No surprises from the clubs instagram. Haynes, McNulty, Burge, O'Brien, Ponti and Biamou all in the squad today.

New Ricoh deal close / One Year Agreed

Bizarrely there is a security of tenure regulation to be admitted to the Football League which is 10 years but once you're in Standardised Rule 2.3.2 applies:

    Tom Clarke of the Enemy

Ruane has a point, and reactions like Clarke's highlight the problem. The people who own / run the venues are happy with a load of tribute bands and student nights and think the occasional band they book is the best that Coventry can get. We've got the Ricoh which holds 8K, Skydome holds 4K...

No fanfare as Ricoh are paying next to nothing after Wasps found out how much it was going to cost to remove all the signage!

Certainly clear where your loyalties lie when you suggest it is stupid to think that our fans should be unhappy at the prospect of Wasps making us homeless, to all intents and purposes meaning the end of the club.

New Ricoh deal close / One Year Agreed

That's the key point. Unless there is a suggestion that Wasps are turning away 20+ events that would take place in the stadium bowl and can only take place on days CCFC happen to have matches and not all the other days its not in use then how can having CCFC there not be a commercial advantage...

I think the issue with that is that while anyone can put in for a JR winning one doesn't actually get you anything. There would be another court case to follow where SISU would go after damages. If they were no longer the owners of the club how would they get any damages awarded passed to them?

Think you need to do a lot more than setup a twitter account

Never heard of the Phoenix Supporters Trust. What's that all about? Is it just a supporters club like the Leamington and Warwick thing Juggy set up or are they looking to take over the Trust's role? If its the later why don't those involved just stand for election of the existing Trust?

They haven't let Dale on again have they?

£5 tickets for Accrington - Community Day

Club saying on CWR that it could be sold out in advance. Cue numerous calls to CWR tomorrow from people moaning they got turned away.

Wonder if the FL have finally put their foot down? Thats the key point. You've got Wasps saying drop the legals or we kick you out yet nobody that's actually running the club has any say over that. We all know that decision lies with Sepalla. And then moan about missing kick off! His track...

New Ricoh deal close / One Year Agreed

If the language Wasps are throwing about regarding this one year deal doesn't act as a call to arms for our fans then nothing will.

New Ricoh deal close / One Year Agreed

That would make sense as the matchday costs have increased dramatically since Wasps took over ACL.

Hopefully the press releases regarding this deal and the huge difference in tone will be a wake up call for our supporters. OSB has already highlighted the most relevant part. There you have it, by Wasps own admission, they will quite happily kick us out despite the assurances from CCC at the...

Remember we should all be eternally grateful to Wasps for allowing us to play in the ground that was built for us.

Article about the first game at the Ricoh and Doyle kicking off!

You would have thought alarm bells would have gone off as soon as someone suggested a pre-season trip to Ibiza.

Article about the first game at the Ricoh and Doyle kicking off!

Was down the stadium being completed late wasn't it. Meant no pre-season games as test events so the capacity got restricted.

The price of things at the Ricoh they might make that much on Saturday :woot:
