    It’s back

I like it, its basically one long carry on film.

    VAR tonight

They've got the goal line tech which is the reason a lot of people wanted VAR. I'd keep it for offsides as that's a binary issue, maybe for if something is in the penalty area or not. Past that football rules have an element of interpretation so not sure it will ever really work. One things for...

    The Bears

Quite tempted to get a season ticket for the T20. 7 games for £77, all Friday day night games or Saturday.

    24 Hours in Police Custody

I can't even imagine doing something like that. But to have done it, got the wrong bloke, and then be laughing and joking about it. Couldn't believe it. Surprised he didn't ask for a copy of the CCTV footage.

Maplin and Toys R Us next to go pop!

Wouldn't want taxpayers money being loaned to companies in financial difficulties would we :D Argos will be gone before long. They were taken over by Sainsbury and they've been shutting high street stores and moving them in to Sainsbury as click and collect. Nice idea but they don't treat them...

    Ashes 17/18 Thread

Its a promotion by Tui, a NZ brewery. You have to buy one of their orange catch a million shirts which are $25. Then at each game the first person in the crowd to take a clean one handed catch wins $50K.

Another boxer dies. Should this 'sport' be banned?

Amazes me that there's all this talk about concussion in the NFL and other sports, even heading footballs, but hardly a word said about boxing.

    Explosion and fire in Leicester

Its a Londis supermarket thats gone up, wouldn't have thought that was a prime ISIS bomb making location. Seems very likely it was a gas explosion.

    3G pitches......health risks & underhand planning techniques

Was wondering the same. If these pitches are going to be come more common what happens when they reach the end of their life. Everyone isn't going to be building new grounds every few years!

2-year old killed in hit-and-run, McDonald Road

I had hoped that there was a reason they hadn't stopped, maybe just clipped the kids and not realised. Having seen a picture of the car there's no way on earth they didn't know what they had done and decided to drive off. Accidents happen but when you've got someone who shouldn't be driving...

    Evans’s Behaviour

Ours was a soft pen but JCH didn't push their player over he stumbled in front of JCH and stopped him getting to the ball. Ref absolutely correct on theirs. A clear dive. Odd that Evans thought the ref was right when he gave Willis a red but got everything else wrong.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Its almost as if it was completely made up. Still it will do the trick, even if they print a retraction there are those that will now continue to throw it around as a fact.

Match Thread Coventry City at Mansfield Town Match Thread - Saturday 24th Feb

Decent point, especially considering the sending off. Next 2 games are huge. Can't afford to lose midweek. If we manage that and then get a win next Saturday the gap should close right up.

As should the ref. Booking would have been sufficient, he wasn't scoring as Burge had it covered. The club must actually be cursed, nobody has this much bad luck so consistently.

Nuneaton MP to raise CCFC home next season in Parliament

That's been the thing thats really surprised me since moving back to Cov. From posts on here I thought there was a general acceptance of them being here. Being in the city it turns out virtually everyone hates them. I've only spoken to one person in the city who thinks they should be here and...

    Dhl closes KFC

Seems the council have said its not in the public interest to force them to close as they have now made the application and the council have inspected the site and are satisfied. Storage facility at centre of KFC delivery crisis not registered Same old story really. Big corporation makes a...
