Both have been, although you have to go back a century in Arsenal's case.

    Rickie Lambert

We'll be good at Mo with a little bit of practice though.

    Millwall Match Thread

Yesterday's win ought to be dedicated to the subtle old Millwall fan in block 17 who lost himself and stood up to punch the air when they scored, and never got off his seat for the rest of the game.

    Non league gems

I'm more than happy with the idea of looking down the ladder for potential. As much as I've lolled at Chris Stokes' non-league first touch at times he's been a bit of a revelation, more of that kind of thing would do me.

Everton in transfer tussle with Newcastle United for teenage striker Bassala Sambou

If he's being told that he's got a chance of the first team football he craves next season and still decides to go elsewhere, leave him there.

4 things needed for a successful team

The idea of 19000 people turning up for Cov vs Plymouth, blimey.

    Manchester City, an English club?

I have to say I do miss when an international tournament would lead to the discovery of great players you'd never seen before. It's nice that you have the entire world of football available to read about and watch at your fingertips, but a lot of the mystery has gone.

    Old CET forum

I used Ivanov on there, RIP to the inspiration behind the name. There was a guy with a constant array of aliases, I only remember 'seeyagunnarsson' or similar being one. Was that him?

    Millwall Match Thread

I don't think I've expected less from a game this season than I do for Saturday.

    Millwall next week

There shouldn't really be any reason for trouble - Millwall fans will be placated by their side's handsome win while Cov fans will be too depressed to get angry.

Chris Stokes off to the Championship

Have to buy those nuclear warheads somehow.

    Manchester City, an English club?

Athletic Bilbao will be the only team left, and even they've snuck a few Frenchmen in over the years.

    Without Armstrong

The pain you feel is because you're trying to get people to agree with something that has no logical basis. If you remove something from the past, it doesn't mean everything else around it would have stayed the same, it's the complete unknown.

    Without Armstrong

It is a bit ridiculous for all the reasons stated. Without Adam Armstrong we wouldn't see players passing to an empty space where Adam Armstrong ought to be.

    Without Armstrong

Not really, because Armstrong's place would be taken by someone else who could have been as good, better or worse. It's impossible to say.

    Without Armstrong

If we hadn't signed Armstrong we'd just put 10 men out every week, it makes perfect sense.

    Feeding Families For Less

I worked in the Walsgrave Tesco years ago and had the luxury* of responsibility for reducing the fresh food and it was a bit like that. I worked three evenings and I'd see the exact same half-dozen people casually wandering round with a basket waiting for the man with the gun to pop up, I assume...

    Coventry parkrun

With the recent sugar tax they have to make sure everybody's being fleeced on both sides. Once they work out what to fine people who run on their own and drink sugar free pop they're set.

    Abuse Documentary on BBC One

I'm surprised they don't stick with the old silhouette and distorted voice. I guess they wanted to convey the more human side of things, but it was taken away by the wobbly faces. The show itself was horrible, hearing the testimony while accompanied by photos and footage of the time in...
