I'm not saying they're not real goals, but you have to take into account it's likely to result in a player having a better scoring record than one who isn't given the penalty taking duties.

    It's just banta innit

Don't work there anymore I'm afraid - got too knackered keeping up with it all ;) Plus I was a fair bit younger and had my youthful looks and a flat stomach.

But Chaplin plays 90 mins every game - Ponto has a few where he just about managed to get to the centre circle before blowing for full time. Plus Chaplin has had penaties.

Corrected for you. And the answer is still no ;)

    Doyle Leaving?

Could be an interesting situation if it were true MR has said Doyle could join the coaching staff and it's true him and Viveash don't get on.

    Snow on the way !

It certainly isn't. Jumping on someone's back and smacking them on the arse with a crop is most definitely considered a foul and a booking. And by "if in doubt put it out" I assume you mean their ankle joint?

    Ogogo gone

Don't know what happened to him here but best for all concerned if he goes to try somewhere else. Best wishes to the guy. Also good to see that MR can admit an error and be willing to rectify it - must be difficult to swallow your pride and let a player you'd gone to quite some expense to sign...

    Eoghan O'Connell

Could be looked upon as a potential replacement for Ogogo and/or Doyle? Plus could fit in in place of either Willis or Davies at the back?

    Transfer Rumour Kyle Edwards?

Maybe this is the key for us - we need to petition the EFL to change the term for the playing surface from 'pitch' to 'court'. Joy will be at every game and spend a shitload of cash. Unfortunately it does also mean we'll still lose.

    It's just banta innit

The reduction does seem pretty lenient and I think it's about time a lot of the students got some kind of perspective on actions having consequences - it's becoming far too common nowadays that they'll whinge about something or other being extenuating factors for poor results, or poor lecturers...

    Ben Stevenson - Colchester

As far as I know Sambou is top scorer for Everton U23 and playing regularly for them, and expected to earn a new contract. Whether he actually gets a chance in their first team and is a success is another matter - I think eventually he'll have to drop down if he actually does want first team...

    Ben Stevenson - Colchester

Agree entirely, and I hope future prospects take heed of this in their careers. Thomas I can kind of understand as it was his home town club and when Harries left Swansea looked certain to be relegated and maybe he felt he'd have a chance due to players wanting out at the end of the season?

    Ben Stevenson - Colchester

Yep - what I saw of him as a youngster I never foresaw what has happened since. At most I expected him to forge a lower league career based on his willingness to work and learn. Fair play to him for how far he's gone since, especially given the two ACL's. Took a sensible progression where he...

    Ben Stevenson - Colchester

I think Bayliss is better than Stevenson but nowhere near Maddison. If he left he have to do it the same way IMO - Championship club and see how he gets on. At the moment I wouldn't say he's setting L1 alight. I also don't think he glides past players effortlessly - he more often than not...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Gillingham Match Thread - Saturday 2nd Feb

Why do we keep doing community days during the coldest/darkest part of the year? Even at cheap prices a lot of people are just going to say "no thanks". Plus the kids just sit there feeling cold and puts them off going again. Do it during a time the weather will more likely be decent and you'd...

I think it being at home makes a huge difference - it puts way more pressure on IMO. Yes, on the two Wembley trips we did make up a large percentage of the crowd but I just think being at home makes them feel that expectation more.

Start of the second half / Lack of attention

Plane thick - he's in a holding pattern going round and round in circles.

    The official NFL Thread

I think Brady values it more as he was a relatively low draft and knows it could all have been so different. That's why he won't retire whilst his team are still competitive - if anything he'll end up more like Favre and go on too long. Hence why I'm rooting for the Rams despite that dodgy...
