Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

Hopefully Gilbert will be following up and questioning Duggins and Ridley. In particular Duggins claim that the councils great strength is partnership working, does he not recall that the reason we ended up with SISU was the councils refusal to work with any of the other interested bidders...

    New Dr Who

In the last series of the original run, which was batshit crazy, Dan wasn't around much (as John Goodman was filming the Big Lebowski). In the last episode the whole show was revealed to be Roseanne reading a book based on her life but she'd changed the bits she didn't like and Dan had actually...

    New Dr Who

Starts tonight in the States and the reviews have been good. It follows on from the last series so presumably Roseanne herself is being killed off in it.

    Will Gary Hoffman...

Buying and selling players is part of the day to day business of a football club. Some players will be sold on at a profit, some players the club will make a loss on. Overall the club has to balance the books to be self sufficient. The playing budget is part of that. Its mental to suggest that...

    Will Gary Hoffman...

How on earth is Greggs managing to make something very simple so complicated and get it spectacularly wrong at the same time?

    Things that annoy you

Why do they mark them like that. Just creates confusion. If it was either clear road or a clear zebra crossing there wouldn't be an issue. Its creating problems that don't need to exist.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Wycombe Wanderers Match Thread - Saturday 13th Oct

If we were half decent at finishing we’d be out of sight by now. Odds on a mistake gifting them a 1-0 win?

It started as that then changed to largest rugby screen in the U.K. then largest in domestic rugby then one of the largest. Wasps being a bit light on facts again.

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

FFS, is the question too difficult for you? You’re referring to serious, credible bids being made for CCFC since the stadium sale. What bids are you referring to?

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

I don't know who, if I did I wouldn't be asking. There's been Dale Evans, a compete fantasist, and Hoffman who makes silly offers via the Telegraph. Who has submitted an actual real credible bid?

So who is it that has tried to buy the club since the stadium was sold to Wasps?

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

Who has tried to buy the club since the Ricoh was sold to Wasps? Haskell was the last 'serious' bid. If you recall he was last reported as being seen going in to the council house with Joe Elliott for a meeting and was then never heard from again. Was later revealed he didn't have the money...

Nuneaton Boro on the brink of folding

Reckon you'd have to buy some land off the rugby club and then pretty much build a ground from scratch. If that was on the cards might as well build a new ground in Cov.

    CCFC New Statement.

Reckon there was two options. 1) the council hold on to the Ricoh. We now, despite the councils claims at the time, that it wasn't performing as a business but it was badly managed so that was something that could have been improved. They could have kept hold of it until CCFC had new owners...

    CCFC New Statement.

My post was referring to the point at which SISU took over. During that process we have seven potential new owners bidding. Six of them walked away as their plan for the club involved stadium ownership, or at least partial ownership. That left SISU, the councils preferred option.

And the biggest obstacle stopping the club getting new owners is the fact the ground is now owned by a rugby club. Unless you have a connection to the club you'd look to take over any other club in the country ahead of us.
