I think now, with the way we are run on a relatively even keel, and with the current situation we might be able to do better. We aren’t going to have big debts like some of the clubs in the championship, so we could have a good crack at it
I’m not sure if it’s my perspective that has changed since being in Leagues one and two, but I feel the championship is so much bigger now than 8 years ago, and it almost seems like it has become as big of a league as the Premiership was when we were at the top of the football pyramid.
I think that trip to Wembley and that win was the turning point. The worst season we’ve ever had as a club, four manage, certain relegation yet over 40 thousand fans turned out and caused one hell of a racket that day. That was the start of something!
just the amount of noise being made by those who want to play on. I’ve not heard much if anything from those who want the season to end, and I feel that Tranmere et al may try and bully some of those on the fence
How about the damage to the game it could cause if after several weeks out you start again and there’s some freakish results because of the massive break. For example we’ve lost 3 all season, say we loose 6 and don’t even qualify for play offs, or Rotherham loose all 10 and finish mid table when...
Just been through the photos, made me very sad. Such a shame, it could have been modernised over the last few years and would’ve been great for us. I feel if we hadn’t have moved we would still be in the championship now at the very least
The problem with it all is there is so much money involved. Getting promoted from the championship is worth something ridiculous like £150 million, not allowing promotion could leave the EFL and PL open to massive law suits in terms of loss of earnings. Even from L1 to champ there’s a fair bit...
I think it will be a bit of a travesty if the season isn’t completed and they decide to void it with no promotions or relegations. Especially this far into the season.
