The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

You mean the same stuff you said was socialist nonsense, unaffordable and would bankrupt the country eight months ago? So how's it going to be paid for? Looks like that magic money tree is growing well. Must be all that bullshit that's been fed to everyone.

But the question has to be how can a club 4 weeks after a takeover (and apparently linked to the former owner) end up in admin? The due diligence by the club and/or the EFL ownership test should've flagged that up.

Why does it take so long

It's a cost so has no bearing on FFP. It is going to be a big problem long term but it's owners profiteering from the club by getting rent and land value transferred to their control. Plus if the club don't have he funds they then lend the club the money (with interest) just to get it straight...

To be honest the Merc could probably avoid those curbs entirely and still be quicker than everyone.

If in doubt, assume they're called Jordan. Usually can't go wrong. Apart from on this occasion. When there were two of them with a name starting with J and neither are Jordan.

I wouldn't either. We had Jacob Murphy. I knew he had a twin brother called Josh. Didn't realise there were triplets!

Transfer Rumour Callum O'Hare - Confirmed

Shipley started 32 games, Westbrooke 29, O'Hare 23. Allen would've been in that equation too but for injury. Westbrooke and Shipley both scored more goals and Walsh got the same despite playing deeper. As for DCM Kelly started 35 and Walsh 32. O'Hare made by far the most sub appearances of them...

Transfer Rumour Callum O'Hare - Confirmed

Same could be said of Marosi. And Dabo. The three centre backs as a unit. Kelly providing experience alongside Walsh. Shouldn't iss out Godden or McCallum either. O'Hare made his most telling contributions from the bench. Shipley, Westbrooke and Allen also looked good in those advanced...

I think you may be right, although I really think a lot of that is down to them just following their favoured right wing media opinion. Mail etc tell them to get angry at Corbyn because his plans will bankrupt the country. Tories find the magic money tree and they tell them to laud them for...

And if we don't get one hit them with that. The Covid crisis is a difficult situation to negotiate. These things need looking into but right now it's too easy to be hit with the retort of "national crisis and you;re trying to political point score". They've already tried it when faced with...

And for me Corbyn became less effective when he did start getting more vocal and passionate.

I get that, esp about the NHS. And while Corbyn would've made more of it, do we think it'd have been effective? It's an approach that consistently got batted away quite easily. I'm hoping that Starmer is storing this up for later as surely an inquiry into this fiasco has to follow - just hit...

Transfer Rumour Callum O'Hare - Confirmed

It would probably also be even more unwise to do so for a known entity among the squad from last season. It's not like you could turn round and say CoH was the difference between us getting promoted or not. It was very much a collective effort which everyone played their part in. There are...

Why does it take so long

Surely the playing surface and costs are of the biggest consequence? Money received from attendances is going to be massively hit next year (if crowds are even let in at all) so moving because it's in Coventry is of little overall importance if hardly anyone can go anyway..

I'd love Brentford to go up. Ideally at WBA's expense but if it's through play-offs so be it. If they did get autos of the rest in the PO picture I'd probably like to see Forest go up as it's been a while for them. Unless Preston manage to sneak in - we always lose to them, they've not been...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

That's a fair comment but I still maintain that Johnson has struggled more with Starmer on the whole than he did with Corbyn. That might have been due to the lack of the backbench rabble, but he definitely hates the calm forensic dissection a lot more than a passioned argument when he can pull...

Anyone think we might play a couple of Scottish teams given the lack of options at the current time? Wouldn't mind one against Dundee Utd to have another look at Shankland.

Why does it take so long

With the lack of crowds being allowed in and chances are only limited capacity if that changes the need to be back at the Ricoh isn't a major one at this point from an economic perspective. Rather have the better pitch at St Andrews.
