There are only 2 clubs in Birmingham the city. And that wider catchment area they share with a couple of other clubs is enormous, over 3 million people. Birmingham clubs, Blues particularly, have poor support imo.
Proper up for this. Been up, dressed and ready to go since 8am. Might head to the pub now, fuck it.
Been a mad season really. If you'd have said to me at that Norwich away game that we'd finish the season above both them and Watford I'd have thought you were a mental case.
Not that arsed. We're in a promotion scrap, not relegation, so naturally teams around us will be picking up points. 69-70 was unlikely to be enough. In our hands, win both games we're in the play offs. The rest is noise.
Weird that people don't get this. Millwall have a very winnable game at Blackpool and will finish in front of a full house at the Den. Entirely reasonable they finish with 2 wins.
They have about 15 bar staff now, but some games can still be a challenge. Tomorrow I'm stocking up early. Think they are applying to extend further for next season.
Beer is ok, depends what you have. Camden Pale is ok usually. I think the quality does suffer when they are so busy.
Something filthy for breakfast - Dhillons about 11am - scenes at the CBS - a bit more Dhillons for an hour or two - lamb vindaloo - face plant the sofa.
Thinking about a possible play off semi and suggestions we should reduce away end, I think we might struggle to sell out for that game. Only about 4 days of sales from a standing start. Would have to price it correctly.
Not unusual for clubs in play off semi 1st leg to get a below average gate...
What's surprising about Saturday is not how many are going, it's how many are not going. Know loads who won't be at the game, many of whom of are semi regulars. Our active fanbase is much bigger than people realise.
If we performed a miracle and got promoted, would you prefer them to stay up so we could play them or see them relegated? Got to be the latter I suppose, how sweet would that be!
