    Golden share found!

If the FL had got it wrong they would never had admitted it, the loss of face would have been huge, so they would have fudged it. I'm not sure what legal recourse SISU would have had since share is the FLs to issue anyway. The FL say it is with Ltd, and SISU I suspect still dispute that, so...

    Golden share found!

But the FL advised ACL weeks ago that the GS was with CCFC Ltd, so their position hasn't shifted at all and in that sense we haven't learned a huge amount today, in fact I don't think we are any further forward in reality. I don't blame BA for trying but I'm not sure it has done much good.

bob Ainsworth on CWR before 6 tonight

500K a year was his basic salary iirc.

Are we really reduced to this?

If you want to compare apples with kebab meat then go ahead, because Ken Deluded sitting in the dugout is hardly comparable with the opening of a retail concession selling merchandise in a busy supermarket (regardless of the stupidity that led to that position). It isn't embarrassing and to...

    Golden share found!

What have we actually learnt today? That the FL believe the GS is with CCFC Ltd? We knew that was their position already. That any move outside the city would be temporary? Well, we also knew that too because their position on such matters is common knowledge. I hope there is more to this...

Are we really reduced to this?

I can never understand why people are so quick to label things 'embarrassing'. Why is it? If a fan of another club saw it they would just think the club had a small concession in a Tescos store and wouldn't give it a second glance. People also say we are a 'laughing stock'. Ask fans of other...

    BOYCOTT Season Ticket Purchases

Therefore you cannot criticise individuals for ignoring options they didn't know existed. There were a good many people who bought into the idea that SISU essentially 'saved' the club at that point, and that was a perfectly reasonable position to take based on what we knew at the time.

    BOYCOTT Season Ticket Purchases

Indeed there were other options, yet we were never told about them because CCC insisted the club only deal with SISU.

    Stewards

So? What are you suggesting? Everyone who joins has to make a first post, and that was his. I'm not sure where this thinly disguised support of all of SISU's actions was, or indeed if there was any support at all. Perhaps I misread the bit that said 'SISU should go' and 'I'm not renewing my...

If Sisu stayed where would we be allowed to play next season?

Someone is bound to ask what the other 3 are, so it might as well be me..

Two wrongs don't make a right

I should hope so, Martin Reeves earns £175,000 a year. For that sort of money you'd hope the people of Coventry would get someone with their head screwed on.

Are most of the 1st team looking for new clubs i

Whether they want to or not, most will be going in the summer. No way SISU will continue to subsidise the club with everything that is going on (not least when you consider the extent to which income will fall), so they will look to slash the wage bill. All the more reason you'd have thought...

    Ainsworth Meeting Football League Tomorrow

A little cynical. Perhaps he genuinely cares? I think it is fair that someone who represents people who care about this issue deeply would seek to get some answers, and believe it or not, being a member of parliament does still count for something so perhaps the FL will be a little more open...

If Sisu stayed where would we be allowed to play next season?

Would make a decent football venue, if it weren't in fecking Northampton:

If Sisu stayed where would we be allowed to play next season?

Where did I say I would trust them? I was merely explaining what I understand to be the FL's position on relocating.

Two wrongs don't make a right

None of this is relevant because the council intend to borrow the £14 million they used to pay off the mortgage, the repayments for which will be met by ACL (plus the council will make a small profit because of preferential interest rates).

If Sisu stayed where would we be allowed to play next season?

Exactly, which is why I don't think it will happen.

If Sisu stayed where would we be allowed to play next season?

That 'rule' applies to any permanent relocation - in which case Birmingham, as a separate urban conurbation, would not be allowed. A temporary relocation outside of the immediate locality, as I understand it, would be allowed on the basis that it could be demonstrated that the club had definite...

Is now the time to start a new club?

Fine, I misread that. Apologies It still doesn't change the fact that the Wimbledon comparison doesn't stand up. They made a permanent move away from their historic fanbase. Nobody is suggesting that would happen here, not least because it would not be allowed to happen. Until such time that...

    BOYCOTT Season Ticket Purchases

If we stayed at the Ricoh gates would not be 4000. They also wouldn't pay 400K to play there. For what its worth, Walsall average 4K, pay 400K a year rent and still make a profit (albeit with some help from their market). The fact remains, if SISU wanted to retain control they could still do...
