Also perspective is good. There were teams last season much better than our own that got to where they were with players nowhere near as good as Hamer. If we can get someone who is even 60% the player he was that can do the basics very well, we’re still an improvement overall IMO

We’re not necessarily going to go for him in particular but we need someone like Matt Grimes at Swansea. He’s nowhere near as good as Hamer in most respects but if we had him as a replacement for example, he’d knit everything together which is what I think we’ll miss most with Hamer.
