    Doug’s new year message

Fans leaving at 83 mins was ridiculous too, we played over 13 more mins and a goal at any point would have put the game in the balance- that’s where you want 30,000 home fans baying for an equaliser.

    Doug’s new year message

https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2025/december/31/owner-and-executive-chairman-doug-king-shares-a-message-to-supporters-as-2025-draws-to-a-close/ He is bang on on every point. Making all the remaining games bar Leicester cat B is class.

Hopelessly out of his depth is an exaggeration, he looks like a player not used to the speed of the league or our system, which is understandable when he's barely played in either.

Dunno. He may well go back. Certainly won't be coming here though, but you know that already.

Played in all of their last 8 games, started 4 of them, and scored 4 goals. Is that not regular?

He's currently playing regularly for the team 4th in Serie A and in the Europa League. Why on earth would he drop down to the championship?

    Last Penalty Given

Yes, good point - you can see these days that refs clearly know about the corner nonsense, previously it threw some of them off. If we do have a reputation amongst refs it probably introduces a bias, conscious or not, and affects decision making.

    Last Penalty Given

I do genuinely wonder if the "Lampard's right, the refs are shite" chant has an impact. For a while it was basically a guarantee that it would get sung before half time, almost regardless of the referee's performance.

    Disgusting stats

I bet Milan’s long throws have a better conversion rate than crosses from open play. People have the memories of goldfish on here. Everyone already forgotten us winning 1-0 via a long throw goal on Boxing Day?

Because we obviously need to ditch the system that has us 8 points clear at the top of the league

Outscoring your xg is obviously good, but does suggest you're unlikely to maintain it if historically you have underperformed.

Because he's much quicker than Bidwell and better on the ball.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

He's outscored his xG this year by a significant margin. His championship career average is converting ~89% of his xG into goals, this season it's 127%. Either he's transformed from a below average to an elite finisher over the summer, or it's an unsustainable purple patch. Still a useful...

BTA was in a purple patch that I'm very doubtful he'll be able to replicate

Rushworth has only played this season. It's a team of the year (2025).

    Wright penalty decision

I'm not sure I'd describe it as stonewall, it's a very awkward one because Wright never has possession of the ball.

It’s literally impossible for Elliot to play for us this season since he’s already appeared for 2 different clubs.
