The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

What is different in this deal compared to the one originally offered by the EU that Johnson said was "the worst of all worlds", JRM called "cretinous" and May said was "a deal that no British prime minister could accept"?

Are you certain? Sky's political correspondent, Lewis Goodall is reporting "EU source says: “It’s not in his gift to rule it out, he is just defending the deal and saying one shouldn't be needed...I am 100% certain EU27 would permit an extension if deal falls on Saturday.”"

Could you not do something similar to the alternative vote referendum?

The Benn Act will still apply though won't it? Wouldn't that mean Johnson would still have to request one and then it would be for the EU27, not Junker himself, to decide if they grant one or not.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

We had an advisory referendum in 2016 which has led to this shitshow. So, as you've stated leave are 100% guaranteed to win a second referendum, why would you not be in favour of a second legally binding referendum? All the arguments that people have changed their mind, didn't know no deal was...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Just make the second one legally binding. If, as you say, its a 100% certainty leave would win why would any leaver be against a legally binding second referendum?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

This is what I don't understand. The leavers say leave is 'the will of the people' therefore any second vote is an easy win for them yet they are the ones who seem dead against it. I get the idea that it was a referendum and you shouldn't be having those every 5 minutes but at this point surely...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

What has actually changed? At first glance this seems worse, or at best the same, as the May deal which led to Johnson resigning from the cabinet declaring it "the worst of all worlds" and JRM labelled "cretinous". Seem the only difference is moving from pushing the border issue down the line...

I'll happily take the bye to the next round and the money in the bank.

England to walk off pitch if racism happens in the stands

Good old UEFA. England have been charged with ‘disruption of the national anthem and an insufficient number of travelling stewards‘.

    Jobello out for season

Can't imagine the club would be taking any risk with him if there's a suspicion of a serious injury.

    Officials in League 1

How is additional time being calculated by the fourth official if they aren't keeping track of it? Anything that doesn't count as in-play the clock could be stopped so everyone knows where they stand. Pretty much every other sport manages it so I don't see why it isn't possible for football.

    Officials in League 1

Someone must have done a study that shows how many minutes of a match the ball is actually in play.

England to walk off pitch if racism happens in the stands

Can't even begin to imagine what that must be like. Really struggle to get my head around people being racist, just makes no sense to me at all.

Don't watch golf, do ladies plain different courses? What stops them playing on the same course as the men?

England to walk off pitch if racism happens in the stands

Of course and as someone has pointed out on twitter hard for the FA to take the moral high ground with UEFA when they fined Huddersfield more for having a Paddy Power logo on their shirt for a pre-season game than they did Millwall for racist chanting.

England to walk off pitch if racism happens in the stands

IMO England should have walked off. The issue has to be forced otherwise UEFA will do the absolute minimum they can get away with again. Also why are the police not in there arresting people when ITV are showing clear pictures of people with uncovered faces making Nazi salutes and monkey...

    O'Hare going all the way

Not much in the article relating to us, Gregg Evans is the Athletics Villa reporter. Only relevant bits are: Wouldn't be too concerned about the recall clause. That's a standard thing and we have the same panic every season over a player going back in January yet they always stay.

    Wasps current finances & hope

Maybe the rugby club that's bought Liberty Way is actually Wasps. Looks like it would be about the right size for them. Still, even with nobody there they've still run out of beer. But on the bright side those there seem to be enjoying the game.

    Wasps current finances & hope

Given that there has been talk that owner has a large percentage of his personal wealth tied up in Wasps and not, relatively speaking, a whole lot more to put in how saleable are Wasps? Is it realistic to expect there to be a buyer who would pay enough to cover the amount owned to the owner, be...
