    General Election 2019 thread

Can't imagine Johnson doesn't have skeletons in his closet. Wonder what will come out over the course of the campaign. Although it does seem as with Trump he can get away with anything. Their other issue will be managing his appearances. There's a reason he doesn't get interviewed by anyone...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Certainly hope so. The other option would be stalling for a few more weeks and falling out by default with no deal if the EU refuse to extend further. Get the feeling they are getting pissed off with extensions being requested and then wasted on leadership elections and general elections and...

You think Corbyn will lose Islington? Can't see any chance of that happening. He's been in since 1983 and has a 33K majority on a 55K turnout (up from 21K in the previous general election). The total electorate in that seat is only 75K.

    More Wasps BS?

One of the early valuations, might even have been the first one, made it very clear that the valuation was done on the basis of information supplied by Wasps. Given that they later were found to have given false information relating to their accounts you have to wonder about the accuracy.

Johnson has done a cracking job of getting Brexit delayed. Having got a positive vote on his WA it could have been full steam ahead but now we're going to be in election mode until 12th December. Then, at best, a week before the Christmas recess. If they come back on the 6th that gives 4 weeks...

If we just want to copy what the EU does we could have avoided all this hassle with Brexit!

Its not really renegotiating when they're going back to something they already offered which was rejected by our Prime Minister.

Don't see any reason for it not to be 16. Already is in Scotland and is being introduced in Wales so might as well do the inevitable now.

    General Election 2019 thread

On a practical level what are they going to do about polling stations that aren't available as they are already booked for Xmas events? And what happens if there's a ton of snow on polling day and people can't get out to vote? Not convinced a week before Xmas is the best time to be holding an...

Not particularly. If there was another referendum I'd probably vote remain as I don't think its worth the level of hassle we have experianced however my preference would be for Johnson to stop finding ways to delay and get on with getting us out, preferably on a Norway type deal.

And yet again you make the mistake of assuming I voted remain in the referendum.

Obviously an incredibly small sample size but there is no way I’m voting Conservative so my answer would be yes. In fact no idea who I will vote for. Had the same problem with the last couple of local elections, none of the options are particularly appealing. Interestingly my Mum, a life long...

    Some good news

I get that but for it to fall so low surely there must be serious doubts about Wasps ability to pay back the bonds and the security (the Ricoh) to cover the debt. Its got to be more than they've lost a couple of games or showed losses in the accounts. We keep being told that, despite what we...

    Some good news

I don't get why the bonds keep dropping. Aren't you supposed to be guaranteed the promised interest and your original investment back at the end? Why would people sell so low unless they think there's a serious risk of Wasps going bust?

    VAR

Don't think it needs scrapping but needs a huge rethink. Firstly, it has to operate in a way that keeps the people actually at the game informed. You can't bring in VAR just because Sky and BT want to create some talking points. Secondly the way it is implemented is awful. Most rules in...
