Maybe he’s just more suited to Lampard’s managerial style - seems like an arm over the shoulder kind of guy. As much as I love Robins, he was known for being a bit of a grump, a straight talker, more in the mould of a no nonsense old style manager - doesn’t suit everyone, staff as well as players.

All I remember at the time in terms of mistakes was his lapse pass against QPR, was it? We don't know what goes on behind the scenes but I think it was generally going against what's normal in football and goalkeeping to have dropped him at that point.
