Makes sense really. A strain that can be caught more easily will inevitably end up infecting more people than another less contagious one. Plus if it's less deadly a single person will be able to move around more and survive longer, thus spreading it for a longer period and in more places.

New Stadium - The pessimist's view...

In a way, but the tiers would make the difference. With the bowl you have to shut off whole sections front to back and so you end up with bits by the pitch that are uninhabited. With a tier you can bring everyone closer to and surrounding the pitch and the upper section being empty doesn't have...

If it were down to low viral loads it would bring the potential of using an active vaccine, esp in younger age groups. But that would rely on immunity being reasonably long lasting, which isn't certain at this stage.

This could technically be down with different tiers and/or shutting off corner sections. Open up as many as needed depending on demand, starting with the lowest. So with a two tier stadium PL - whole stadium open Championship - shut some sections of upper tier L1 - lower tier open L2 - lower...

New Stadium - The pessimist's view...

But you'd had time to make HR feel like home. If you got taken as a kid even if it was a small crowd and not a great game it felt exciting and busy. You can't recreate that sense of wonder as an adult at a new ground. I bet the first time you had sex wasn't the greatest but you look back on it...

New Stadium - The pessimist's view...

It's the people that create the atmosphere, not the building. It was a very negative time for the club, falling away both on and off the pitch and less people were going, made worse by the fact we were in a bigger stadium. All that translates through to the fans. Plus you need those memorable...

Forum Statement on New Stadium Announcement

Isn't that where the economics comes in though? If we're selling out games and have people unable to go you up the price until there's no excess demand. Plus a smaller ground to start with upgraded would have a better chance of being accepted as 'home' because it'll be more likely to generate...

I can. If you look at how quickly stuff like this replicates and each replication is the equivalent of a new 'generation' the virus will have gone through millions of 'generations' during that time which in human terms would be like us not having evolved(mutated) from prehistoric times.

Tim Fisher can have the toilets named after him. Both of them are full of shit.

Bit surprised to see him coming back but more likely to get game time. No idea if he's going to be good enough esp as we've gone up a level but good luck to the lad.

    Shamima Begum Not Allowed Back.

But who defines a terrorist organisation? There are plenty of states out there that describe political opponents and groups as terrorists and detain/imprison them (usually around election times surprisingly). If Corbyn was abroad you could have people claiming he's part of a terrorist group due...

    Site confirmed for New stadium

Warwick Uni students are a slightly different kettle of fish to the old Poly students, but I reckon a few will be enticed to have a look (should it actually happen).

New Stadium - The pessimist's view...

I did feel with the student blocks going up Coventry got on the bandwagon pretty late, esp for a 'student city'. Obv no-one was expecting the global pandemic but relations with China are always frosty at best and there are a large number of Chinese students. There certainly was demand to be...

New Stadium - The pessimist's view...

I think the R&D and technology being developed and licenced by the uni is going to be far more lucrative to them than housing our stadium which we'd receive the income from. So the biggest draw is likely to be a short term injection of cash to mitigate possible effects of Covid and foreign...

It's also very disturbing that i this information was available to them, why on earth would you want to sit on it for months as it undermines the entire democracy. It's not saying that anyone was complicit in it, just that it happened. So why would you want to hide it? I'd want it investigated...
