    Difficulty with EPL restart

Middlesborough got a points deduction for refusing to play when they had a flu bug going round the squad in the mid-90s.

What a joke. The council have turned down other applications but you watch this one sail through when Richardson is claiming the demand is there. Even that is moving the goalposts. Originally we were told we needed the hotel for City of Culture but now that has been missed they've changed their...

    Accrington Chairman on twitter

Ticketmaster refunds are taking a lot longer than usual at the moment so wouldn't worry. Each refund has to be done individually and they are rapidly approaching $3billion worth of tickets for cancelled and postponed events.

    Difficulty with EPL restart

In legal terms what would be the difference between a player missing games because they have covid-19 and a player missing games because they had some other illness?

Have a mate who is Australian. He was working in the US but has returned home. Upon arrival it was straight into mandatory government 14 day quarantine. Everyone gets the same treatment irrespective of if anyone on the flight has symptoms or a high temperature. Non citizens aren't allowed in the...

Can't help but wonder if it is coincidence that on the day Vallance and Davies were saying we were too slow to ramp up testing and that has impacted our response Ferguson gets thrown under the bus. Suspicions that aren't calmed by the fact it was the Daily Telegraph and Spectator that stuck the...

Very clear from his performance today why he does his best to avoid PMQs. Without a friendly crowd and being able to palm questions off onto others he was like a rabbit in the headlights.

Heathrow CEO has told a Commons select committee today that they are going to start trialling temperature checks in one terminal (T2) from next week. Its a joke how far behind everyone else we are.

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

How on earth have they got this from what Parry said? Obviously I'm not saying we're going to be back playing shortly and everything will get nicely wrapped up but not sure how, from what Parry has actually said, they got that L1 and L2 will be abandoned while the Championship is completed.

A lot of it is over my head but the bit I do get is that the virus, as with regular flu, mutates into different strains. Hence the yearly flu jab is a best guess of which strain they think will be dominant that winter. What this appears to be saying is the virus already existed but in February...

For those who are keen to sue China, not that I'm sure there's even a mechanism to do that, this report suggests that the strain of the virus causing so many problems in here and in the US is D614G which may have originated here. Spike mutation pipeline reveals the emergence of a more...

Even by the Telegraph's standards this seems irresponsible. Just had my Mum on the phone in a complete state because according to the Telegraph the furlough scheme is to be wound down. As I'm furloughed she's now panicking that I'll be made redundant. However looking into it what has actually...

It makes no sense. They won't have the players playing more games than they do now anyway, ie weekend - midweek - weekend, so why the need to shorten the games?

Interesting stuff in the DCMS select committee. Bill Sweeney (RFU chief exec) said they'd already lost £15m and even if the scheduled international games go ahead they expect to lose a further £32m in revenue. However the talk was rugby will be 'the last cab off the rank' potentially not...

Probably not the best look for Hancock to tell the Shadow Minister for Mental Health, who is also an A&E doctor, to watch her tone when she questions the impact of the lack of testing. Interestingly while Hancock was telling her she was wrong Sir Patrick Vallance was telling the Commons...

Interesting, or should that be worrying, that as well as wanting all your data now they aren't providing any means for you to request its deletion when this is all over. Its like being in a time warp. We're back to we're right and everyone else has got it wrong.
