EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

We're top and people are talking about us struggling in the Championship next season. Would make the league a complete joke if they ended up promoting the team in 11th!

Coronavirus Isolation - TV Shows to Binge

Went through Greg Daniels other new show at the weekend. Upload on Amazon. Wasn't expecting much from the trailer but it was excellent and given the cliff hanger has thankfully been renewed for a second season. Read an interview with Daniels at the weekend, he's got a pretty impressive hit...

Was just reading that in The Times, re-read it several times as I thought I was missing something. Not even due to start until next month, literally months behind other countries and we’re already talking about relaxing it.

    Wasps downward spiral...

Can see why they gave him the job as he's done such a good job of getting a new naming rights deal for the Ricoh! He's only been chief exec for 9 months but you can't blame him for getting out at the first opportunity.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Exactly. Also issues with loan players. What if Villa decide they don't want to risk O'Hare and / or Norwich don't want to risk McCallum for example. Gets very complicated very quickly.

At 47.75 as well, someones lost some money. Don't think even the biggest pessimist on here thought the price would ever go that low.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Players whose contacts aren't renewed get paid one month as a sort of notice period but they aren't contracted to play. You'd have to negotiate with every player whose contract or loan was expiring. Would they all agree? Sure all of ours would as they want the promotion but some players on teams...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The games wouldn't be in any contract as they wouldn't have been allowed to show them. L1 will be a non issue. If football does get played it will be behind closed doors so Sky, BT, Amazon and anyone else prepared to cover the cost of showing games will get as many as they like to ensure every...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Showing Saturday afternoon games is down to UEFA and they have already suspended the restriction to allow games to be shown, hence the 2:30pm kick offs in the Bundesliga being on BT Sport this weekend. Uefa lifts Saturday 15:00 football TV blackout in England and Scotland Any involvement from...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Other than him keep saying he wants the games played has he made any practical proposal as to how that would actually happen or who would cover the costs? We don't even have a return date for the Prem with all the money involved there! We've been told by the EFL it would take a minimum of 56...

After the Elation - The questions

KMPG had already run through what was essentially an administration process. That's how we ended up with multiple people bidding to buy the club. Problem was all but one identified the need for stadium ownership and dropped out leaving one option. The only reason we didn't technically go into...

Also seems to suggest that it doesn't last very long so a key will be is it as effective when given again. That would also impact the ability to immunise everyone. Its a huge task to immunise millions in the first place let alone if you have to repeat it every few weeks.

Would be interesting to see the evidence, tried googling it but the only thing that came up was the Royal College of Paediatricians saying media reports had been incorrectly suggested that children cannot transmit COVID-19 based on their research.

Why don't they just put it to a vote? If they go down the same road of L2 then of those objecting Oxford, Portsmouth and Fleetwood are in the play offs, doubt they'd vote against that. So its just Peterborough and Sunderland left to vote against. No reason for anyone else to join them.

Most irritating things during the pandemic

Get similar every week with my Mum and Dad. Even moan if I get them the 'wrong' brand of something when its the only one in stock. Also a constant battle to stop them going out. They seem to think that the restrictions don't apply after Johnsons speech last weekend and its fine to pop to the...

    Ticketmaster Refunds

They're owned by Live Nation who are in OK but not brilliant shape financially. Like a lot of companies they're loaded with debt which suddenly becomes a much bigger problem when your business grinds to a halt. They're in the process of issuing around $1billion worth of bonds on the basis that...
