Tried to forget him. Cheers. Point still stands relevant to the post I quoted though. It's not as if we've had totally inexperienced managers on the whole, in the past 10 yrs. Yes, there's Thorn and SP but the rest were relatively experienced.

I'm pretty sure Boothroyd, Dowie, Coleman etc all had decent experience when they joined. Only really SP could be regarded as a 'trainee' manager.
