EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

It makes no sense. They won't have the players playing more games than they do now anyway, ie weekend - midweek - weekend, so why the need to shorten the games?

    Wasps downward spiral...

Interesting stuff in the DCMS select committee. Bill Sweeney (RFU chief exec) said they'd already lost £15m and even if the scheduled international games go ahead they expect to lose a further £32m in revenue. However the talk was rugby will be 'the last cab off the rank' potentially not...

Probably not the best look for Hancock to tell the Shadow Minister for Mental Health, who is also an A&E doctor, to watch her tone when she questions the impact of the lack of testing. Interestingly while Hancock was telling her she was wrong Sir Patrick Vallance was telling the Commons...

Interesting, or should that be worrying, that as well as wanting all your data now they aren't providing any means for you to request its deletion when this is all over. Its like being in a time warp. We're back to we're right and everyone else has got it wrong.

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

Rick Parry, EFL Chairman, has been reported as telling the DCMS they want to finish the season and use all grounds not neutral venues but realistically need to be finished by July 31. Has also said if there's no promotion and relegation it will lead to very messy legal action. Interestingly he...

Needs to be a balance though. If they tell everyone to go back to work but you can't go to pubs, restaurants, cinema, theatre, football etc thats going to be a tough sell for an extended amount of time.

Anyone looked at the alleged 'back to work' plan that's been leaked. Assuming its genuine how is it going to work making companies or staff who are returning stick to stricter rules than those that have worked straight through? That seem completely unworkable.

    Wasps downward spiral...

I wouldn't have a problem with that if he was only reporting on the playing side. Really anything past that should be dealt with by a news or business reporter depending on what the story is. The other issue is that you've got him presenting everything to do with Wasps as a positive while...

No its not updated, the 0.7 is from an Imperial College report a few days ago but the reality is we're not doing enough testing to have an accurate number.

Using the latest excess death data to model through to the current date it has us unfortunately going past. Hopefully this will turn out to be wrong but so far every time the ONS has released data the figure has been updated to a higher number as they are trying to keep the modelled numbers as...

Revenue idea if only BCD for the foreseeable future

If, and its a very big if, all 4 divisions announce they are going to finish the season BCD you can see what is coming a mile off. Sky, BT and the BBC will split up the additional PL matches between them so all games are shown live and the PL clubs will get extra money for them to offset the...

There's a huge difference in those numbers. One is 6% of the population and the other is 50%. If its 50%, and re-infection isn't possible, you're getting to the point of herd immunity being a viable way forward. Going to need a lot more certainly on the numbers before they can be used to...

Why on earth are you worried? Its not like this will be run by Faculty (previously ASI Data Science who were linked to SCL Group in the Cambridge Analytica scandal). And its not like Faculty is run by Marc Warner. The same Marc Warner whose brother, Ben, was recruited by Cummings after...

On the face of it yes it is a good thing. If its purely that we created extra capacity in case it was needed and shut it down when it wasn't then job done. However if it has been shut down as other hospitals have stopped referring patients there due to them being turned away as there't no...

Revenue idea if only BCD for the foreseeable future

Something like the membership thing they used to do (possibly still do) where you got iplayer included and other things on top, think you got a discount at the shop, priority on tickets and that sort of thing. They'd need to rework it as obviously things like ticket priority aren't much use now...

    5% chance of L1 & 2 completing

Interesting read, although obviously just one players take on things. The David Conn bit made me laugh given how clueless he's shown himself to be when writing about our situation. Exclusive player prediction: 'Back in September with crowds' - Football365

    5% chance of L1 & 2 completing

Said this the other day after the PL meeting. Why are extra measures being put in place for PL footballers that aren't required for someone working minimum wage in a supermarket or warehouse?

Should small women enter the police force?

I can remember going to one place years ago (not in Cov), was a small after hours chill out type place. There was a group of 5 or 6 of us a bit the worse for wear. Got there and there wasn't a queue but there was two chaps in the process of being turned away. Both smartly dressed, neither...

    St Andrews/ The Ricoh

Wasn't particularly putting forward an argument for or against playing at St Andrews but the idea that the EFL won't be flexible with their rules for BCDs games given their history is laughable. I see no reason not to continue at St Andrews assuming they are reasonable and aren't charging us...
