Having read some of the comments around the loan switch, from the Spurs side of things, I think he'll start because we are supposed to have been offering more mins than Portsmouth gave him. If he doesn't start in this game it's hard to see when he would.
If we go up nothing's a problem, but if we don't it's a big contract to be saddled with for a long time, for a player that probably wouldn't be the easiest to get rid of.
I think he'd be a good signing, but don't think we should be breaking our transfer record and wage structure to get him in
Loan with or without obligation would be decent.

Probably just makes sense for everyone. Given our position it's very unlikely we'd have been able to offer him a chance in the first team. And £500k is a decent fee given his level of experience.
