I’m not arguing his ability, I think he is a fantastic player on his day. His application on the other hand can be pathetic and it is clear as day he went into hiding during the playoffs to the detriment of the team.

There are approximately 210 minutes of our last two games you can probably find on Sky+ somewhere. I saw both in person with my own two eyes and if you think he doesn’t have a bad attitude then I have some magic beans to sell to you.

So if you saw a player with a horrendous attitude who was hiding away on their teams biggest two games of the season, that wouldn’t put you off no? Anyone can excuse someone having ‘bad games’ but it is the complete lack of desire which does not fit with being part of an elite level player.
