The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

This government is beyond parody. While Johnson is waving around a packet of Tim Tams they're releasing this video to highlight the rivalry between the UK and Australia. Slight problem being this is Northern Ireland v Ukraine from Euro 2016! Here's the former Australian PM explaining where...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Couple of people I know who run bars, actually small music venues but small enough to come under pubs and bars, have only had information from their brewery and local licensing unit. On the face of it that would make sense except they have made clear they are essentially best guessing as...

    Marcus Rashford

It's quite worrying. In the last couple of weeks we've had racism and kids going hungry highlighted as issues in this country. Mind blowing that a significant portion of the population are against resolving those issues. These are things that should unify everyone.

The school meals u-turn is good news, although not so good when the PM says he didn't know about the issue until yesterday. Starmer asked him about it in PMQs last week didn't he?

Last Tuesday was 1,741 before that 1,653; 2,004 and 2,412 so that's certainly good news. Although still concern at how slowly the rate is coming down. Next couple of weeks will be vital. Between people at parks & beaches, street parties, various protests and the scenes we saw as shops reopened...

This is why effective track and trace is so important. Even if we get effective treatment it could still mean weeks / months in hospital. Absolutely vital that as restrictions are eased people are traced and tested quickly.

It's an important breakthrough no doubt but also important not to overstate it. When you look at the trial they're talking about it saving one in eight of patients on ventilators and one in twenty five of patients on oxygen. Great news no doubt, being able to save lives with an existing safe...

    Season Tickets

Of course you can sue the club. You'd have to prove that the season ticket was purchased for a set number of games rather than in line with the terms and conditions given at the time of purchase. Personally think that would be a strong argument but not sure it would be worth all the hassle given...

    Wasps downward spiral...

They said they were using the bond money to pay the interest on the bond, at 6.5% a year that's £16m to start off with. Add in paying Richardson back and paying the council loan off and that's the bond money gone. Next time round they will have years of actual trading history rather than just...

    Wasps downward spiral...

The sticking point in an exit strategy will be the bond. Is it known what they actually spent it on? I know some of it went to pay back the owner and some was supposed to be ring fenced to pay the bond interest payments. Has the rest just gone on covering losses, not like they've actually built...

    Wasps downward spiral...

Had this argument with Italia when he used to spin the Wasps line that Premiership rugby had the potential to be as big a brand as Premier League football. Remember looking up the figures and in one appearance on Sky we had more viewers than every Wasps game combined. Someone on here made the...

I think things like this are far more likely to be the answer than a vaccine. If we can treat it effectively and cut the deaths to something in line with other things such as flu then that might allow things to start returning to normality. You'd still need a larger testing capacity with a...

Took the dog to the memorial park yesterday. Thought it would be OK as people are going back to work and the weather wasn't brilliant. Rammed full of large groups of teenagers making no effort to social distance. Getting pissed and taking nitrous oxide, leaving rubbish everywhere. I know...

    Season Tickets

That only applies to individual game tickets. Season tickets don't technically have to offer refunds as you purchased a ticket to cover league games played this season, games took place and the season is now completed not cancelled. This is from when Bury dropped out of the league: "Coventry...

Keep hearing the experts saying it is vital that we have increased testing capacity with faster turnaround and properly working track and trace. The teasing numbers seem to be dropping and track and trace doesn't work properly. Why is NHS Test and Trace contacting only one in nine people...
