3 very winnable fixtures and that would make 5 wins on the bounce. You then beat Boro and suddenly strikers are back in form, you're on another big winning streak... A lad can dream.
Sakamoto coming on for the last 25-30 minutes in these last two games a nightmare for defenders, and has basically created a goal in each shift. I still think ALL our goalscorers will hit form in this run now; Rudi is the biggest worry in that regard as he does seem a bit all over the place...
We know they'll sit deep and counter-attack, if we can hold it togethor at the back we'll get plenty of chances. Leicester could have finished the game first half, that's the worry.
I think they will all drift into some form now. Away vs Norwich and QPR they will get some freedom and plenty of chances I think. We've really got to stop a) hitting the post b) not being given stonewall penalties.
Milwall visit Tuesday a tough fixture, good side in decent nick. However, the two away games (Norwich and QPR) after that clear chances to pick up points on the road... QPR probably be happy if they only concede 3...
Of those 20 isn't it 13 at home and 11 away? I guess we can now rotate the front 3 every game pretty much, preferred front 3 get 60 minutes at home, the second set 60 minutes away? Does that keep everyone fresh enough and give everyone a chance to hit some form?
Though to be fair our recent problems have been at the back haven't they? We scored twice against Ipswich and Birmingham so really should have won both games??
Esse was described by Bloom & Co. as one of the two best signees it's possible to get for the Championship in the January Window - the other being Piroe. But I can't see use getting Piroe now, with Yang and Esse in the bag??
We scored twice that should be enough. Same in the other 3-2 loss. We've slipped back into old habits and are vulnerable on the break. Our players will get us the goals, but we are not benefiting at the moment from these open games.
