There is no ring leader. There is no witch hunt. A leading Sky Blue campaigner has been found to have racist views. It is something that should be condemned by all. Racism isn't something that should be excused simply because he's "one of ours", it should be universally condemned by all...

Looks like he has deleted his Twitter account now anyway, so the last bit of tidying up has been done.

Of course not, no. But should someone with those views use Jimmy Hill's name and be a fan representative? Can someone with those views seriously represent our broad-ranging fan base? This isn't just a "leave poor old Steve alone" issue.

I think it should be kept open. Deleting the thread is akin to hoping this will all go away and be forgotten. It will be eventually, but let's not help him hide his views.

No, he's not in politics or anything he is "just" fronting a fan action group using Jimmy Hill's name. Our fan base isn't just a load of middle aged white blokes. We live in a multicultural city and have a multicultural fan base. Anyone who puts themselves in the spot light has to be careful...

Yeah see what you mean. There could have been an attitude of "That's just Steve" from those who know him. He certainly wasn't hiding it and it wasn't just UKIP crap but real offensive racism.

I might be in a minority but i think it does. A fan representative tweets offensive far right material. What would our Muslim fans think, I wonder. If he has those views fair enough up to him but he shouldn't lead a campaign which uses Jimmy Hills name.

Well I'm a little old fashioned so i would think anyone with a decent moral compass would give a "monkeys". But hey, maybe that's just me.

I dont think Jimmy Hills family would be happy about a person with such views using JHs name.

Surprising it hasn't come out before now. I would have thought this would be right up Les Reid's street. The kind of thing the CT would ignore, I would imagine.

My pleasure. I will argue all day with you regarding CCFC, but as I said I would never accuse you of anything being a racist as I don't believe you to be like that. Anyway, enough of this thanking each other stuff.

TBF, whilst we tend to disagree on just about everything, I've never seen you post or say anything even slightly racist.

He's head of the Jimmy Hill Blah Blah thing, so yes, he runs the show. He resigned from the Trust to take over the new entity organising the protest. Thanks, I will do as I wish and enjoy the game. Hope others enjoy the march.
