Reminds me of the misattributed Einstein quote, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results".

Haven't you answered your own question there. If you have no ability to carry out the practical work in the current setup what difference does it make if it moves online. Friend of mine's daughter lives in the states and they were told in the summer high school students won't be back until next...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Been reading through the report, which is pretty heavy going tbh. Can someone clarify how Starmer suspending Corbyn for saying: is consistent with the findings in the EHRC report?

They're being asked to agree to a lot more than the last time they breached the bond covenants aren't they. Think this time round they're signing away their own rights with nothing in return as opposed to a change in what types of income are allowed which was the case last time (allowing the...

Its so frustrating seeing things like this. We simply shouldn't be seeing report after report showing things the government chose to ignore the science on coming back to bite us.

We just seem to be adding more regions into various tiers of restrictions while adding a tier 1 plus to avoid admitting only days after it was announced the tier system is screwed. Nobody seems to go down a tier and places like Birmingham are saying moving up to tier 1 at some point in the...

Don't two of those things present the same issue when teaching in schools? Just highlights the need for a property implemented nationwide system really rather than expecting schools to sort themselves out which ends up with them holding lessons via something like Zoom.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Only had a quick skim of the report, need more time to read it as there's 100 pages of it, but from what I've read so far Corbyn's statement seems pretty much in line with what the report says. Will be interesting to see if Starmer revisits the leaked internal report and takes action given the...

Makes no sense. The only difference is that if you don't pay your rent your landlord loses out, whereas if you don't pay your mortgage the bank doesn't really lose out as they take your house off you.

Not chatting shite, I'd be entitled to 28p a week towards a mortgage of £557.03 but only after 9 months. Also forgot to mention its a loan.

The housing element, are you being serious? I would be entitled to 28p a week but there's a 39 week waiting period. Not sure that's a lot of help.

This is the biggest frustration. Schools closed 23rd March, and that was after a lot of pressure. We're now over 7 months later and no better prepared for a further school closure. There's no plan for if schools have to close, there's no national system of remote learning in place - nothing...

Even if you believe that to be true that is the fault of the parent not the child. Exactly this, now who is that has spent years cutting funding for those services? I had a look at how much I would get on beneifts if I lost my job. I would be entitled to the maximum UC which is £409.89 a...

    Match Thread Reading

Is it as simple as getting rid of Robins? The whole club has been set up to play the same way, do we scrap the whole lot and start again? And what about Viveash's role, are we getting rid of him as well? It was only a couple of months ago we had players speaking to the press about the coaching...

Loved Cannon and Ball, saw them regularly in my youth when they'd play Bournemouth while I was on the family holiday. Don't think they really got the appreciation they deserved in recent years.
