    Fresh Ricoh talks

The chap that runs the Henley action group posted it. The housing thing is interesting as its long been put forward by those campaigning that part of the site would be sold for housing to pay for the other work. Of course that is being denied as one of the reasons being given that it should be...

See that they've moved workers in and started on the site before the planning meeting to decide if they have permission for the works to go ahead or not.

There's a lot of competition but this is one if the dumbest things they've done. Introduce a new tier system then ping an alert to anyone who has the app installed telling them their risk has changed and, at best, its now minimum. Already had my Mum on the phone in a panic as I put the app on...

What a surprise. Wonder how much money has been blown on this. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/13/operation-moonshot-doubts-over-uk-covid-saliva-tests-plan-after-trial-scaled-back Again this is something where we seem to be trying to reinvent the wheel. There's tests already available...

Can't find the link now but I saw some tweets from an Epidemiologist, think from the University of Southampton, after Van Tam said kids under 16 weren't impacting transmission. She was saying that the data he was basing this on actually shows that primary school kids show limited transmission...

What they're doing is exactly what members of Sage were saying here in interviews over the summer. If you want to open schools something else will need to close to compensate. Of course that was ignored and we tried to open everything up and came up against another 'nobody could have predicted...

Comical listening to Jenrick on LBC trying to explain what counts as a meal. Going to a pub and having a pasty and pint is out, going to the pub and having a pasty that comes with salad and a pint absolutely fine.

    6 championship clubs need bailout

Fingers crossed but I'd be surprised. We came into the division knowing the situation and have pretty much the lowest wage bill, plus no ground to maintain!

The Palladium pictures are mad, there's no way they have maintained 2 metre distancing even though they did once the pics started circulating. Also, having been to the Palladium I'm struggling to believe anything remotely resembling distancing was maintained in the areas outside the main...

The more I think about a Euro League there more I think a lot of clubs wouldn't go for it. Would any Bundeslida teams leave? Would Barca and Real want to move from winning the league every year to the possibility of years without a title. When was the last time one of Inter, AC or Juve didn't...

    6 championship clubs need bailout

Don't want any club to go out of business but from a purely selfish point of view if 6 more teams got points deductions it makes survival a lot easier.

This seems back to front to me. Shouldn't the numbers dictate what tier an area is in, or at the very least shouldn't this be centrally controlled and not something thats up for discussion? Council's shouldn't be having to approach the government to be moved to the most suitable tier.

Its disgraceful. Just on the Sport England objection alone it should have been rejected, they absolutely ripped Wasps apart and basically said they were lying in their application. If you were the suspicious type you might wonder why local politicians and planning officers seem to do...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Like how the article also casually slips in that the two homes were built in breach of planning laws. Shouldn't there be some action about that as well?

Thats exactly their thinking but is that sustainable long term? The gap between is pretty big in the Prem League already, this plan would see the 'big 6' get stronger and stronger. Eventually interest in watching anything but games between 2 of those teams will drop off so you end up with only...

Its Americans behind this as well isn't it? They clearly don't understand football fans and are trying to make it the same as in the US. A closed off league with clubs treated more as brands than sporting entities. Look at teams like the Raiders and Yankees, marketing & merchandising takes...
