We've ordered 100 million doses so if we hit anywhere near the production numbers they are saying we should have enough doses to cover the 1m vaccinations a week target.

The BBC rolling news feed says the factory that has been setup to produce the vaccine has capacity for 250 million doses a year. That's 4.8m a week so way above the 1m people a week we are aiming to vaccinate. Hopefully that will mean we won't hit issues with vaccine availability.

Manufacturing has been increased but I suspect its more complicated than just needing more space. It will need specialist equipment working in optimal conditions and this isn't off the shelf kit. Even if you have manufacturing capacity you're still reliant on the supply of materials. For...

    Match Thread Preston

FFS, how on earth are we two down in this game. Its hard enough in this division without making mistakes that gift the opposition goals. Given our goalscoring record there's no chance of even getting a point now from a game we should be winning.

Wasn't really suggesting that it was possible for everyone if they close schools tomorrow, just wondering how people who home school in non-pandemic times manage it.

This sort of thing won't help. If you look on the Welsh government site it states "people must stay at home, except for very limited purposes", then read to the bottom of this article where there's a Welsh chap saying people are sticking to the rules as they are only travelling to places up to...

Not for a moment suggesting that its a viable option but home schooling is a thing even when we're not in a pandemic isn't it? What do they do about getting kids through exams, surely you can't just decide your kids aren't following the national framework and won't learn the usual curriculum &...

    Postponed Matches investigation

The initial failed tests were two named players, Jesus and Walker, and two staff. The additional failed tests just said after testing players and staff which makes me wonder if any additional players were ruled out.

    Season Curtailment

Wasn't the vote they had to amend the regulations last season a permanent rule change to cover something similar happening in the future? Sure from now on it needs 51% of clubs to vote to end the season and then its decided on unweighted PPG. Don't recall anything in there about a minimum...

    Postponed Matches investigation

Same with concussion substitutes, happened in cricket already. India's Jadeja injured his hamstring batting against Australia but continued, later got hit on the head, still kept batting and made 44 from 23 balls, out of a total of 161-7. In the break before Australia batted he was substituted...

    Season Curtailment

Surprisingly enough despite Orient having to forfeit against Spurs in the same competition Man City won't have to forfeit if they can't play against Man Utd, the game will be rescheduled.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Hopefully someone that knows what they are on about will be able to go over the actual agreement and come up with a nice summary of what we've gained and / or lost as I don't particularly trust any of the statements flying around at the moment.
