That's got to be a mistake. The bit about closing places of worship says they can stay open if they're being used as food banks so would be very strange to close other food banks down.

    Geoff foster

Not seen it mentioned on here yet. After 25 years with the BBC Geoff Foster has retired. Know he's had some health issues in recent years so hope he's OK and ready to enjoy retirement.

Brum Game moved to Friday on Sky

Thought the commentary was fine on the main channel, the midweek red button games not so much but its always a bit shit when its a single commentator with no-one to bounce off. However the presenter is appalling, to the point its hard to see how she's in a job. You could put any Sky Sports...

Brum Game moved to Friday on Sky

Yep, would be very annoying to keep being moved to Friday night if we were allowed in but as things are the extra money is a huge bonus.

    5 yellow cards marks

Only thing I can find is this from Robins which all sounds pretty positive about Doyle and says there's a place on the coaching staff for him when he finishes playing. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/coventry-city-michael-doyle-15768057

If this is any indication Trump won't go quietly if he loses. Thankfully this attempt was thrown out by the courts. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/01/politics/harris-county-texas-drive-thru-voting/index.html

Potentially a scenario where we come out of lockdown on December 2nd as planned with the numbers having dropped back down leading to people thinking its fine to go back out again right when its Christmas party season. Followed by sending uni students home for a few days and then back to uni to...

Think this was posted earlier in the thread but it indicates the current procedure for quarantining people coming into the country isn't working. I say procedure but from what I can make out you arrive at the airport and are then free to jump on the tube, coach etc with zero quarantine...

Said a while ago they'd probably u-turn on ending furlough right before the end but I was expecting a bit more notice than 4.5 hours!

    Further Lockdown Rumours

There's an article in The Athletic saying they've spoken to three MPs who all say the PL will continue as they are now playing BCD and carrying out testing. No mention of the EFL as obviously football doesn't exist outside the PL but I can't see them shutting it down.

Didn't Johnson get a bollocking last time for announcing things through the media and press conferences before going to parliament? Wonder if the delay is to do with that? The media are reporting the cabinet meeting took place this morning and most of them seem to know the contents of the...

Wonder if this is what will trigger a change in some peoples behaviour and see more people stick to the rules? There's been a lot of 'I don't know anyone who has got it' up till now but the last few weeks I've noticed that changing. We've got quite a few younger employees where I work who have...

There's minutes from a SAGE meeting on 21st September where they formally suggested it. Although that was far from the first time it was put forward by the experts, it was being said for weeks before that with it being repeatedly said the longer we left it the less impact it would have...

It was half term this week wasn't it? Nothing could be more ridiculous than starting a national lockdown the day after the school holidays end, not to mention right as the furlough scheme ends, and insisting everyone go back to school.
