    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Would be laughable if the results of this total government incompetence wasn't huge numbers of people dying. Literally months of denial that schools had anything to do with transmission as more and more evidence came out they did. To the point they were threatening legal action against local...

    Testing in schools

We've had months of the government insisting schools aren't an issue even though as far back as the summer we've had experts lining up to say if schools were going to open something else would need to shut to offset the impact. Sorry to hear that mate. Thought there was a plan locally to ring fence facilities as 'non-covid' to enable them to continue treatment using BMI, Nuffield and the cancer unit at Stratford. Maybe they just couldn't cope with the number of patients.

I can see the logic in keeping places like Stratford and Leamington in line with surrounding areas even if their numbers are lower. If things opened up there would you really trust people from the surrounding areas with higher rates not to pop over there for a day out?

    Stands shut at St Andrews

If those cracks they found at the Ricoh and had to get structural engineers in to look at had turned out to be something more serious we would have had exactly the same problem there. In fact even if we owned the place it could still happen.
