Tony Mowbray in talks with Spurs over young players

All logical and makes sense. It's a shame that that's the way football is nowadays and we don't in essence, get a full pre-season with a full squad, instead having some coming in 4 weeks into the pre-season. Hey ho, the same for all I suspose (unless bankrolled by those with more money than sense).

CCFC- what do we want on Match-days?

It's ok granddad...the music would be aimed at the nippers, not old folk like you and I! Just another gimmick to get the youth of today/supporters of tomorrow up to the ground. Bolt on something else they're in to.

Mowbray wants to bring back Proschwitz permanently...

I only saw him once. Against Crewe. What an amazing day that turned out to be. I've said on here in the past that I don't see TM as the saviour that many do. That said, if he can take what in essence are poor players and work some magic over a full preseason, then good on him. Jurys out for me...

Mowbray wants to bring back Proschwitz permanently...

Just had one of those alert things coming up on my phone. Reported in the CT apparently but can't see it yet. TM says he can be a 20 goal a season striker and has 2 or 3 conversations with him.

CCFC- what do we want on Match-days?

So we're still on for Monkey Butlers then? On a serious note and back on topic, something that racecourses up and down the UK have done in recent years, is bring music acts into their courses after an evenings racing. Goodwood, one my local tracks, has 3 evening meetings every June, on 3...

First real/fake grass being put down at Ricoh

Needs sunshine...that's us screwed! I know they'll use the artificial heat lamps though. In all seriousness, seems like a good concept. So long as the cutters aren't set to such a small length that it cuts all the artificial stuff away otherwise it'll have to be re-laid.

Tony Mowbray closing in on making first signings

Teletext?! Is that really still going?! Make more use of this thing we call t'internet my friend. Normally more than 3 paragraphs on any given page. Some 'nice' pictures on some sites as well. Saying that, I used to love playing Bamboozle as a kid on one of the Teletext pages. Great days.

Tony Mowbray closing in on making first signings

Did they start as loans or come in as freebies, or were they signed for a fee? Genuine question...

First real/fake grass being put down at Ricoh

Excuse the lack of horticulturism in me but from what I'm seeing/reading, we've laid down some synthetic stuff, now we're growing to put some grass seed on top? How the hell does that work?! Surely there's a synthetic barrier between the surface and the soil...am I missing something here...

I went round the Olympic Velodrome for an hour about two months ago JHFC...totally agree...it was brilliant. First time I had ridden a fixed wheel which took a little getting used to. Almost went over the bars when I stopped pedalling once...luckily I was on a wind down lap! Great fun, really...
