    Ben Sheaf future

Exactly, the quote in the Telegraph was "If certain criteria are met it's an obligation to buy,”. We have no idea that those criteria have been met and the club have released a statement saying his loan has ended and he's gone back.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Wages would depend on how much demand there is for him. He's managed about 120 minutes of football this season. His only prior championship experience is a couple of seasons with less than 10 appearances in 17/18 and 18/19. I'd definitely have him back, if we are confident of his fitness and...

Either the obligation still exists or it doesn't so either way the statement could be clearer.

Not really a surprise that when you have a player on loan with an obligation to buy who it has been reported has to meet certain conditions for that obligation to kick in, and may not meet those obligations, that people might think they aren't signing when the club put up a news article saying...

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Inside No 9 was back earlier this week and brilliant as ever. The podcast is back on BBC Sounds as well which is well worth a listen.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Are these things cancelled because the booker has had some moral epiphany or because they are worried about running the event safely? Seems unworkable, venue says we can't put this event on and guarantee everyone's safety and security - what happens then?

    Derby County deduction?

Even if you ignore the accounts submission something was off about the way they went from not being able to pay wages to signing more players than anyone else without a takeover going through was a bit suspect to say the least.

Man Utd v Liverpool on Sky

Yep, and a lot of extra security. Man Utd team got to Old Trafford early to get in before it and Liverpool used a different entrance while their, empty, usual team bus went the normal way in.

Hope so, certainly needs to be tougher penalties. Although as recently as January the government were resisting calls to make changes to the law so I'm not too hopeful.

    Club Shop at the Ricoh

Wonder if we're getting a pub as well. If not at the Ricoh at least nearby. Yesterday the club posted about Dhillons wanting Sky Blue's memorabilia. Today they're posting about the Sky Blue Tavern. I know they already open on matchdays but if they're planning to make it a Sky Blue pub that...

Will certainly welcome it when it happens. They should probably have let their MPs know so they don't make statements saying its not needed when questioned on why they voted against it, 'It is self-evident that animals are sentient and UK law already recognises this fact'.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I think you could have made the 'they couldn't have expected this, get them home' argument a year ago but not now. Anyone travelling to any other part of the world knows perfectly well they're taking a risk. Reading articles like this makes you wonder just what people were thinking...

    School Protests

Will be welcome if it happens, given that the article mentions some of this has been promised since 2017 and hasn't been implemented I'll reserve my praise until then. Have they said why they are introducing it now when in 2017 they voted against it and claimed it was unnecessary as existing...

To be honest I'd be up for similar restrictions to Australia if that's what it takes. But at the very least get the quarantine in place as soon as the experts say it is needed. How many times do we have to repeat the same mistakes?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Have you read the article? It quotes Indian doctors saying there's a huge surge in younger patients, with 65% of hospital admissions under 45. Also talks about symptomatic cases in children under the age of 12 when there was virtually none prior to the variant. Of course we need to open back...
