I agree that there has to be a common sense route, but if any negotiations have taken place and a bonus scheme has already been agreed with any players, contracts signed, as such, these contracts have to be honoured.....but since when have SISU respected a contract, and honoured it?:jerkit:

@ 1nilandwe... Last season I would have played Hussey left midfield, and Wood at left back. McSheff playing off (Wait for it)...........Platt. That is when he hadn't chipped a finger nail and had to have the next 2 games out till it grew back.:)

McSheff is a Striker, not a midfielder. Thorn played him wide in midfield(Out of position imo)....Apparently, we are overrun in midfield this year, so take your pick mate:D As for our options being "Incredibly limited".....Who's fault is that?...SISU for not supplying Thorn with financial...

@ Astute...... 4-4-2 would have given us far greater options. The Diamond never gave us enough width. When you attack with 4-4-2, you effectively have 4 strikers, providing the 2 wide players can also defend, which in McSheff's case...he can't. Someone with the heart and lungs of Keogh at...

Just to add to my last post......It's called "Playing to your strengths"....AT is the manager, and should have the brains to work out different tactics to go with the skill level of our team. :facepalm:

Only a poor manager would persist in a "Diamond formation" when it was obvious it wasn't working. AT has a lot to learn yet, and I hope to God, it's sooner than later!

Transfer parts of your idea to the national teams. Limit Premier and all British team clubs to max 5 overseas players and within 3-4 years football in this country would thrive again with good British talent.

McSheff reminds me of George Hudson. He can hit some superb goals, but can't be a***d, unless the ball is played to his feet.He's at the stage of becoming an expensive luxury. He must step up to the plate this season, and stop "Going off injured at the slightest knock"....imho he's a shadow of...
