From what i remember of that season, it was pretty dire... we pulled it out the bag in the final couple of home games... Staunton scored right at the end against either Brighton/Forest i think, and then the big final day win.

Building a new ground, and agreeing a rental deal at the Ricoh, don't have to be mutually exclusive. Chances of either or both happening are of course an entirely different debate.

I suppose there's potential that the council have twisted Wasps arm a little. With Wasps future appearing to look bleak, and some potential possibility of CCFC building a new ground. If anyone was to see a benefit to us being back at the Ricoh, it's probably the council from a PR point of view.
