    Stoke/Millwall/Luton attendances

Good chance a few have been instructed by their other halves not to go and risk screwing up Christmas. There must have been people who picked it up at games before. When the ONS throw around figures like 1 in 60 people currently have it law of averages says there must be people at games with it...

I'm sure there's something in the rules already where the umpire can stop this constant flow of people coming onto the pitch. There was a hundred game in the summer where after 3 balls someone was coming on with drinks and kit!

What odds on season being postponed?

You'd imagine clubs are telling players to have as little social contact as possible but if they'll pay any attention or not is a different matter.

Decent catch that. Looks easy but nearly took Broads hands off!

See we've taken advantage of Cummins absence but not letting the Aussies rack up a score

Getting a strong sense of deja vu with other countries putting restrictions on people entering from the UK and basically being told to do what you think is best in terms of attending events. What odds on some form of lockdown in January as things have got out of control with the blame being...

You didn't read the article did you? It says hospitalisations are 23% lower than the Delta variant and 5% of cases are admitted to ICU, not that its just a cold. But with the number of cases we're seeing already it seems there's a decent chance the total number in hospital and ICU will increase.

Wasn't totally paying attention as I was still working. Did Whitty say hospitalisations in London were up by a third already? If so that's slightly worrying as they were a few days ahead of the rest of the country for omicron spreading so we could easily see similar rises elsewhere.

She's been saying that for ages and has a book out about it. Although in interviews she has phrased it more that we can’t be certain that it did not emerge from the Wuhan Institute of Virology which I think most people would agree with. Not sure she's got any actual evidence any more than any...

Hospitalisations doesn't get released daily. The last update for admissions was on Saturday but already it was up over 10% in a week which can't be a good sign.

Its beyond belief. This is her 7th offence and she was banned at the time so not sure what they think giving her another one of those will do. She failed an alcohol and drugs (cocaine) test, what do you have to do to get a ban? The drug driving charge was dropped before it even got to court...

Sadly Jethro has died of covid despite being vaccinated. According to the twitter scientists this means we all need to 'wake up' as its proof the vaccines don't work. What is wrong with people? I don't think I've seen any claims that any vaccine, let alone the covid vaccine, is 100% effective.

The pandemic has certainly highlighted a lot of self inflicted issues. As with anything if you're trying to run on the minimum of resources you can get away with when something unexpected happens you've got a problem. We've seen the NHS in crisis every winter for years with ambulances queuing...

If you're arguing that due to a lack of staff the NHS shouldn't require vaccination against covid shouldn't you also be against the existing vaccination requirements for NHS staff or is there some particular reason it should only apply to the covid vaccine?

Assume the drivers need a HGV license, how much do the drivers get paid? I've got a couple of job alerts setup for anything that comes up in Cov and every day there's multiple job ads for HGV drivers paying £40K plus. Its hard to know what to think about the variant. Still early days and more data needed but some reports seem to suggest nothing to worry about while others indicate the opposite. This one from Reuters for example.

They need to make up their mind on the rules first. Every week the 'experts' on TV are saying go down if there's contact and you'll get a penalty. Add in super slo mo with VAR to see if there's the slightest touch and its going to get worse not better. Needs the FA to remind the officials and...

Depends which stats you want to look at. Its unlikely to be listed as a cause of death but PHE produces stats about the number of deaths where obesity is a factor and those are the figures that are used to decide policy, treatment paths etc.
