Thomas went into the right back position for their goal because MVE was about 30 yards up the pitch jogging back. Likewise Rudoni too slow going back to cover. We are just so slow and lacking urgency.

MVE is now the biggest defensive liability. So poor for so long. He needs offloading. A quality midfielder who can drive us forward is essential. And i've absolutely had enough of Sheaf ambling around the wrong side of attackers and pointing. So many bland average players.

MVE is a liability, you don't want Thomas covering right back. Sheaf is continually the wrong side, weak on the challenge, rarely heads the ball. Lati just looks awkward and sluggish. Torp pretty awkward and sluggish as well. Eccles a woeful naive pass. Saka invisible.

Hope Simms is really up for this and shows some promise and threat. Needs someone to thread passes into channels for him. Maybe Torp can step up... A clean sheet would be a real positive as well.
