I had a quick look on the Australia government website and can't see any mention of an exemption for those who have tested postive. if, as has been suggested, Tennis Australia have given out incorrect information why would he be allowed in anyway? And surely now he's admitted he didn't fill in...

My stats isn't great but it seems one false positive is 1 in 1000 so the odds of getting a huge number on the same day seem slim to say the least.

Doesn't the situation in other countries come into play before its declared endemic? Don't think it gets downgraded just based on what is or isn't happening in the UK.

Statistically that many false positives has to be virtually impossible doesn't it? Assume if it all kicks off they'll blame whoever did the tests. Edit: seems like a single sales positive is 1 in 1000, some one better than me at maths can work out the odds of getting multiple false positives.

Among the court papers there's the 'proof' that he tested positive. That comes with a QR code you can scan to confirm the result which is, at the time of posting at least, still active and shows his test result was negative.

Could be but there was also absolute uproar from Australians when they thought he was getting an exemption. Given that fully vaccinated Australian citizens have struggled to get into the country over the last couple of years given how tight the rules are / were not surprising they weren't happy...
