Early kick offs - the future?

don't see how the authorities can stop it, not like every other game is 3pm Saturday anymore. saw a chap from Lords on Sky Sports Cricket saying they were trying to keep the floodlights off as much as possible. He did say how much they cost to run at the moment and it was a big number.

The bit people miss is that they're looking at arenas in North America used for NBA and NHL. The arenas are largely owned and operated by groups such as AEG who have enough artists on their books to ensure they are in use pretty much every night of the week and who also invest in the surrounding...

    Things that annoy you

was just going to post this. had to go and get my flu jab first thing and the doctors is next door to a school. Absolute chaos. Its like the rules of the road don't apply. People randomly stopping, doing three point turns, all sorts of shit going on. Its a miracle there's not more accidents...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Do we have any idea how much they owe HMRC? Presumably Richardson is skint, or at least unprepared to put anymore in, otherwise surely he'd cover that and avoid this situation. Looking at RFP and how the phrasing of their statements has changed to restructuring it looks like Richardson is...

Wouldn't it cost an insane amount? £20m plus to SISU for us, £35m to pay off the bondholders plus whatever the Wasps owner wants. Would anyone really put £55m minimum to get the lot? If you want to own a football club there's a lot easier ways to do it.

How many people were worried about the loss of income in Wycombe or people losing their jobs when they left?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

The statement is worded slightly differently. The past statements have been they're in advanced talks to secure finance, this reads more like the club is being sold to me.

Pretty much every statement wasps have come out with in the last few years has turned out to be false so not sure I'd read too much into that.

if it reverts to the council what happens to the bondholders security, are they completely fucked?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

that really wound me up. there is, or at least was, notes on the council website about a meeting where the football club ending up owning the lease was discussed and they spoke about how if that happened there must be a clause to prevent the club using it as security on finance.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I used to work at a place that had flexitime. I worked out that to get to the office for 9am I had to leave my house at 7am due to horrific gridlock but if I left at 6:45am I'd be in just after 7am. So that's what I did and got a stupid amount of work done in the 2 hours before anyone turned...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Presumably they're slightly worried about whats happening to the lease given the bondholders will surely now be wanting their security. Said it before but I was surprised there didn't seem to be any clause that saw the lease return to the council if something like this happened.

Wonder how Worcester fans would take that idea. Would they swap Warriors for Wasps if it meant still having a club?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

If, and its still a big if IMO, Wasps lose control of the ground to the bondholders, is there a strong case for them staying at the CBS? 5K in a stadium that holds over 30K isn't fun as we've experienced when we've had some cold nights in the early rounds of the paint pot cup and will only get...

    Wasps downward spiral...

One of the issues if they try and shaft the bondholders is that a decent chunk of them will be regular supporters taken in by the 'we'll be the richest and most successful club in the world' rubbish. Surely even Wasps fans wouldn't support their own supporters being ripped off.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

some people suggested they were desperately trying to string things out until they'd played their first game to prevent automatic relegation but surely with only a handful of games played you just void those results if needed.

Wasn't there an article recently that they'd cut staff to the minimum and some positions were being replaced with volunteers.
