Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

tbh I think the NEC taking over and not giving two hoots about us wouldn't be the worst thing. They can get on with running the hall and putting on events there and we can look after ourselves. Realistically we're not looking at much more than maintaining the pitch and doing that ourselves would...

Not sure that's an argument she's going to win. Truss has already abandoned everything she ran on in her leadership campaign.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Realistically where would they even play, you can't play championship games at the cbs in front of a few hundred. All the 'we just want to watch top class rugby' types would disappear. Doubt many of the old fans from London will still bother to travel for a new club in Coventry. Can't see CRFC...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

If they were including things like stewards in the number and they're already been employed by another company then that brings the number down. Add in the players who are already reported to be on the verge of signing with other clubs and wonder what the more realistic number for people...

I'll take a guess at we're still talking to people and it will all be sorted any day now.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

The Telegraph mentions Wasps Holdings is the holding company for Wasps Men, Wasps Ladies, Wasps Netball, the associated coaching and support teams, and the respective Academies and Pathways so I'm guessing all of them. Were Arena Coventry Limited and IEC Experience Limited not part of Wasps...

Which parts have actually gone pop. If the arena is continuing to operate and its basically just the rugby club that have gone that seems a lot of staff.

Don't the terms of the lease mean that the council can take the lease back and, at least temporarily, take over running ACL. Loaning money and the company still being in the control of Wasps should be off the table.

A loan, because that will be paid back :ROFLMAO: Anyway can't possibly true as Duggins was very quick to reply to any emails last week saying this definitely wouldn't happen. If the council are taking over the running of the arena then surely the lease has to revert back to them?

Quick scan seems to show we're not getting the cut in income tax anymore, the energy price guarantee has been cut to 6 months but lenders are already saying its unlikely to have a significant impact on mortgage rates.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Seen that people are starting to ask questions about how, or if, the Champsionsip will be able to accomatde Wasps and Worcester next season. Seems it may not be a foregone conclusion that if either team can survive in some form they will be given a place. Not sure Championship sides who were...

The work done for the amount of money they received for the CWG is another on the long list of things that seemed a bit suspect to me. Not to mention that by complete coincidence a new Wasps shop appeared in the area the work was done in.

Completely agree with this. We all knew it was bad, even if the Wasps supporters insisted everything was fine, but I don't think any of us realised how bad. All sorts of stories coming out now about late payment of wages and real financial issues going back years. One paper reported Wasps...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Report on the BBC at the weekend that they're going into public places and literally rounding up people to send to Ukraine to fight. Not sure that's going to give them a particularly competent army even if they hold off for now and give them 6 months training with a view to going back in next...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Would anyone in the party vaguely competent want it, is there even anyone vaguely competent left? If I was someone like Sunak, I'd be thinking of the long game. Leading the party to victory in 2029(?) is a better long term career prospect than being the leader that loses after over a decade in...
