I thought Duggins was bad at interviews, that's a shocker. Can't keep his answers straight from one question to the next.
We're supposed to believe he was having discussions, no matter how detailed or not they were, about wasps but has no idea if Richardson has a desire to stay involved or...
I'm not convinced he would be. Wasps were broke and realised they needed us here, same can't be said of Ashley.
Without knowing his motives for buying the stadium how he will act as a landlord is very much an unknown.
He doesn't seem to have involvement in similar businesses we can look to as...
Doesn't the 200 year extension fall away and the original 50 year lease ACL had, or whatever is left of it, revert back to the council. On that basis wouldn't the existing agreements stay in place with the council being owners of ACL until a new buyer is found and / or they the bondholders...
Its weird that people were dead against the NEC on the basis the club and stadium would have different owners but are in favour of Ashley taking over despite everything we've heard being that he has no interest in buying the club and has had no contact with the owners.
There's a scenario there...
I've always had concerns about the valuation, it never seemed right to me but others insisted it was.
I'm with Grendel here, if the bond total is £35m and you've been told there's security of £51m which has been independently verified you could reasonably expect to get your £35m back if it all...
Has the NEC ever actually been confirmed as bidding? There was some rumoured interest but for all we know that could have been as little as a phone call and being told the Ashley bid was already well down the line.
It seems to have morphed in some peoples minds to a bidding war between Ashley...
Are they pissing money away? If Ashely has paid a £1.2m exclusivity fee why the need to threaten the football club the ground would be locked up if they didn't put more money in?
the bondholders have had years of being told the lease alone is worth far more than the total they are owed. They're now looking at a sale process where there's a suggestion Ashley was lined up before anyone else got a look in. It's very possible they feel they are being short changed.
They at...
If this was all Reeves on his own and he hadn't informed anyone conversations were taking place and we believe the 'the council have no involvement' line how was Duggins aware there was information Reeves could share with Ridley that was commercially confidential?
Reeves has been chief exec since 2009, in that time there's a long list of things that you would expect to be a resigning issue yet he is still in post.
So was I, didn't phrase it very well. Having worked at a council in the past it is simply unthinkable to me that something with this potential repetitional damage and level of potential investment would be something undertaken by the CEO with nobody else having any knowledge of it.
Nobody is saying the leader of the council has to get permission for any conversation. But do you not think with something that would clearly be hugely controversial and involve such a large amount of money it maybe would have at least been mentioned?
If Duggins and the council knew nothing...
27 dates now at the o2, that's got to be a record for most shows in a single tour, add in the dates from the last tour he did and he must be up there in terms of acts who have played the o2 the most times in total.
