Today was 7’s all round as we won with Sakamoto getting 8 due to his goals.

You can see why Godden is playing but he’s a total passenger. Back 4 looking good again and Wright very impressive. Sakamoto busy.

Think Simms is dropped to be fair to Godden. You can’t stay in the team endlessly if you’re not scoring. Long term he’ll be back but at this point it seems fair enough to put Godden in for him.

If Lisbon can get anything north of £40m for Gyokeres we should be putting the bunting out.

You’ll see the same scenario play out every season. Newly promoted club needs players. Other clubs know they have money. Game of “chicken” ensues as season draws close. Invariably it’s for players like Hamer who are among the top champ players but still affordable for lower prem clubs.

Because we’ve spent a lot of money on him and he doesn’t look a very good player. Doesn’t move like a footballer or do anything naturally.

Length of contract is totally meaningless. It’s the T’s and C’s that are relevant. Extend and improve. Kitching in particular needs to be retained.

Early criticism of these deals is now looking very premature. Strategically we should be thinking of extensions already.

That’s a statement result. Plenty of good performances but for me it’s the reintroduction of Bidwell that’s sparked us. So much easier to secure 3 points if you don’t concede. Kitching looks an absolute snip as well.
