    Reid and Haynes

Well considering it's a defenders job to defend not score goals not sure why that's a good way to judge a left back? Stokes is clearly the better right back. He's been around for 5 years and made 67 appearances. I believe the point SW88 is trying to make is, Haynes hasn't done well enough at...

Actually good that you mentioned Devon, looked okay in pre-season, so surely he is deserving of a chance ATM?

I might give it a go, once I get over a little niggle that I have at the moment, seems like a good little workout tbf. Yeah putting it all together takes a special type of athlete tbh.

Not in a club, undergoing fitness training for the Navy, so I am super fit at the moment. I know I can run 1KM on 3:30 I don't know how many laps mind you

Match Thread Coventry City - Shrewsbury Town Match Thread - Tuesday 29th Aug

Think Pearson, will be given a run out, perhaps camwell too on defence, would expect only one of Doyle or Kelly to be dropped not both, and we will likely see Vincenti, and biamou both given another go.

That's his goal for the season then. Might as well send him on holiday

Stop trying to act smarter than you are. There are rules, the ref follows the law of the games, but then also have to implement the rules of the competetion. Even if you do a quick google search I'm sure you will find. Laws of the games and FA rules. Referees job to inforce the rules of the...

Yeah no I agree with that, but you can't change rules half way or 3/4 of a way through a season is what I'm saying. So while teams may do some things on purpose in these few games, it may be done by accident on others, and so changing the rules too such a harsh punishment in this case is for me...

Okay yes true but it's less Common, and it is rarely done from the first minute. Unless as you say it is vital to their needs, but that is probably going to be a last 2/3 game of the season thing?

'Not if you make a rule that if the whistle blows you risk dissmissal for kicking the ball away. Some subjectivity there I know, but situations like you describe can be spotted pretty easily' Are you not suggesting there that they get sent off? If that's not what you meant then my bad? As I...

But it's not a mistake, it would be that the law is too harsh? You also see players booked for apparently kicking the ball away, when they think they have kept it in, or when they don't realise that the ref has given the free kick the other way. Would be a ridiculous reason to start sending...

Yeah I knock out about 3:50-4 min km when I do 5-8km runs but thats without the breaks, but I am shattered at the end. If I was doing 1km reps would probably get about 3:30 mins. But as you say it defies belief that, 13:30 is slow

How is it a positive for a player to be sent off, for making an honest mistake?

Think it would lead to too many mistakes, I remember the RVP dismissal a couple years back for Man United, he was clear through on goal, the ref had blown the whistle, Van Persie clearly hadn't heard it, and still shot, got a second yellow and sent off. Don't want imagine how many times players...

    Danny Newton - Tamworth

Don't think Stevenson was ever a player to drive the team up the pitch with a run on the ball? Not when I saw him anyway, he hasn't been as risky with his passing I would agree, but in terms of Saturday, the Newport half was so crowded with bodies, the only way in my opinion that an opening was...

The 6 second rule is technically still a thing, but referees just don't have balls to implement it, as there is no consistency. Also goalkeepers aren't allowed to pick up the ball if it has already been placed down?

    Danny Newton - Tamworth

I have done a bit of scouting myself, gave it up mind you due to other commitments. I haven't seen enough of him to judge tbh, and I don't think it's fair to judge on the appearances he has been given, and will wait for more opportunity to see him. Would also point out, you may have a...

    Danny Newton - Tamworth

Again I think that's hardly fair, we are 3 games into the season, and he has started one which was against a team that was playing in the championship last year, think he needs to be given some time before he's simply written off as crap.

    Danny Newton - Tamworth

Hardly fair to judge him on leagues we know nothing about, And Hinckley, Leamington and Brackley aren't exactly the best teams in England. Hell Kevin Malaga looked like Vincent Kompany against Hinckley.
