I think you’ll find the very obvious difference is that they’ve had to spaff a huge amount of money on a transfer fee and have to pay his wages. It’s basically a very, very expensive loan if all goes well and a waste of probably £10m if it doesn’t. Utter shite.
It’s simple. Players that are worth having arent easy to get. We’ve no idea if we’ve bid for Woolfenden, how much, how many times, whether he’s first choice etc etc. Trust the club to get the right players. I’d rather that than accumulate dross.
Did you see Collins at the end of last season? Once Rushworth stopped a shot he was better. But you only have to watch the defence playing in front of Rushworth to see the improvement he brings.
Well whatever the xga I’ve seen us look like conceding goals against a rank Hull side, Luton’s reserves followed by three against versus a Derby side that isn’t great. Plus, we conceded terrible goals all last season.
